Terrus Nullius or Terra Firma Returns to Zero
Terrus Nullius or Terra Firma?
Our planet is alive,
The moon is a satellite,
Orbiting energy fields that hold trajectories,
As the vortex of the universe rotates,
A super nova gyrates,
Surfing on galactic swirling clouds of dust,
As chaos is ordered on planes and wheels,
Vertical and horizontal dimensions,
Extending infinitely into and between space,
Folding space to expand,
Then contract,
Drawing an in breath,
As the origin,
Returns to zero.
Our planet is alive,
She shines out in space,
A blue star,
A jewel of infinite beauty,
Housing life of a myriad of forms,
That humanity can scarcely know,
For her curves and leylines,
Are geometric prisms,
Her rhythm harmonises and listens,
As she sings the one song of harmony,
That money cannot buy.
Terra firma,
Gaia the learner,
Solid yet growing,
Wise yet knowing,
For the intelligence of the whole,
Knows the sum of the parts,
And when pulled apart,
Extracted and reformed,
Torn up and restructured,
She allows like any great mother,
Yet there is a point where natural limits
burst the banks,
For the banks are not saving true wealth,
They are not channelling the currency for the good of all,
Imbalance copulates through lust not love,
Loan sharks overpopulate,
Yields are not natural bounty,
As credit is the greed that balloons,
Reminding all that the party is over,
For one cannot print trees, fresh rivers, clean air,
Future generations of debt cannot be rolled over,
It can be written off in the present as bad,
Bad seeds never regenerate,
As humanity genetically modifies its fate,
Unable to sustain itself before it is too late.
Many watch from the future,
Amazed at the ignorance of this time,
The denial of personal responsibility,
The inability to question norms,
Is normal natural?
Disconnected from spiritual acorns,
Emotional voids embedded in tabloids,
Fighting fire with fire,
Unable to see the log in one’s own eye,
For any fool can see an eye for an eye
made the whole world blind,
And only blind people can see,
When blind to corruption,
Blind to distraction,
Blind to lies,
Blind to greed,
For some were planting good seeds for permanent cultures,
Living oases seeing through the mirage of capital,
Coming together to envisage the new earth charter,
Charting a new course from seeds of universal wisdom
rather than re-learning ungrounded thoughts as rote,
Floating earthships rather than sinking iron ore pits,
As captains jumped overboard before the ship sank,
Trying to save themselves first,
Yet onlookers marvelled at how they didn’t know
there is no safety in numbers,
The first will be last,
To know thyself and be true is the rite of passage,
For this is the camel that passes through the needle,
As the planet lists and turns,
The old burns to regenerate,
As terra (earth) seeks for higher ground
that is sound,
And this was only found,
In the meekness of humility,
For this was the stability
that returns to zero.
