The Magic of Life: Bringing You the Breath of Healing

I experienced the magic of life today. Although in truth it is in everyday if we choose to be open to it.

I have been going to the Doctor for a check up as I have had a nagging cough for about 8 months. I was close to pneumonia when traveling overseas. I believe I became exhausted from constant traveling and little sleep, as I have to adjust to every new place. When I became sick the coughing was non stop. I’ve had two courses of anti-biotics and it is improving but still it is there. So I have decided to check my health. New experience for me.

Anyway I went to the Doctor, as I was walking I was thinking about the stonewalling experience I had and the injustice I felt. It has been the one thing I’ve had trouble accepting as I have deep values and abuse is not something I find easy to accept. Yet for my own peace I have to find a way of acceptance that is in harmony with myself. So I spoke to my friend about this. She and I are on a similar wavelength, we both recognize that experiences come into your life for a purpose and I do see those who I feel most distressed about as my teachers, as I must be the peace I advocate. I see that clearly. She recommended Counselling. I agree, it won’t hurt to talk it through.

So went to the Doctor told her about the issue and I am choosing to go to Counselling to come to terms with this pain and find forgiveness. This is the first time in my life I’ve ever felt the need, I am naturally very positive. Yet I am willing to face any issues that comes up with openness and strength. I also want to use the Counselling experience to go into Byron Katie’s The Work, to start to work on all issues that I have felt in my life that may be buried. It is like a cleansing I am seeking now. I must be completely clear of all negativity if I am to contribute to the world in a way that is positive. That is my feeling.

Well I leave the Doctor and headed back home, I am walking back. I just pop into the toilets at a shopping centre. As I come out this person comments on my wrap around, it is like a blanket. It is a blue Mexican style wrap. I thought the person was a masculine female, just saw a feminine style in the body type. Turns out it was a guy with all this jewellery on, medicine bag. He tells me that he is a sharman. Turns out he has been practicing American Indian rituals and healing. He studied with American Indians. He told me he has tried the normal life but said he is not part of this society anymore. He has been out bush and is conversant with bush tucker. He has hunted for food and spent his nights doing spiritual work. He has a bag of crystals and told me about his rings and the symbolic meaning of them. At first I was seeking to walk away from him but noticed a peace symbol on his ear, I was sussing him to see if he was ok or not my inner feeling was that he is what he says he is.

Anyway, we stood talking and he gave me a sheet of paper with Medicine Crow on it with all these sacred symbols. On his advertising it says that he does smudging (cleansing places with incense), earth walks, eagle dance, nature walks, guide, the truth, the lies, bush medicine, gypsy. He states he has studied the mysteries for 20 years. He speaks of the one earth, if it dies we die, he comments on earthquakes, floods, fire, rape, murder, greed, wars, what next 2012? He speaks of the Incas, Mayans, Egyptians, Aztecs (the gods past present future). He does prayer services, goes to schools to show kids the American Indian life and connection to mother earth. He has been a national park guide and worked as a cook at resorts and many other things I can’t recall now. Anyway, when I saw the 2012 I said to him let’s go for coffee. I wanted to listen more to him.

So we sat down and he told me how he gives crystals to people, he inspires kids, cooks damper, he lives in a caravan park and invites the community to come to his place to share food. He doesn’t like fast food places and tries to live in harmony with mother earth. If he swims in a river he doesn’t use soap. He told me he avoids pubs, but does like a green ginger wine occasionally, he drinks water and is a very spiritual guy. He spoke of treasure hunts he did years ago when he had people come into the forest with him and they looked for treasure for fun. He also spoke of camping under the stars and being close to nature. He said he had an affinity with animals and when he hunted he wouldn’t hunt near where he stayed. He said he has lived in caves and how beautiful to wake up in nature. He explained in the morning he has incense burning, he takes deep breaths does Tai Chi (I was told about that today in the Doctors surgery huh) and welcomes the day, then goes for a beautiful walk. He speaks to people as he walks around.

I asked him how do people react when they see you, I would imagine most would think you strange. He said some do, people like conformity, he has explained to people that he is being himself. He said if people become disrespectful he moves away. He is a peaceful guy and I saw his gentleness as we talked. He also goes to schools as an American Indian and does a show. When he does shows in the public he charges $1 for kids and $2 for families, he only charges so he can catch buses and buy food. That is counter capitalism, a person living alternatively but giving of himself to inspire. Really wonderful guy.

The beauty about being a clown is that I am used to being different, so I am not afraid of people who are unique and not afraid to be what is their truth. We had a really good discussion and then he said he wished to give me a card. It was an angel card. Called The Angel Prince of The South. It was a golden picture of a angel with green dress (nature) on a cloud and the caption below was ‘I LET GO OF ALL PAIN AND TENSION AS I FLOAT IN THE SEA OF DIVINE LOVE’.

I smiled when he gave this as my purpose with the doctor is to let go of the pain around stonewalling and abusive behaviour I had experienced. I knew this was no coincidence. I spoke and listened with respect to him, I am not into judgement and it is not for me to decide anything about an other. I go with my inner feeling and I accepted diversity and I knew his intention was good. I could see it in his eyes, they were innocent. He is a peace maker. He made me reflect on my path. He then gave me a crystal rose quartz, this is the crystal of peace. In the little information square it was written that the rose quartz is a major love stone. Emits a cooling, calming energy which removes negativity and reinforces self love, self nurturing and self compassion. Brings calm and clarity to highly charged and traumatic emotional situations. Promotes peace and calm in relationships. Vibrates with the universal energy of love. Excellent for healing deep emotional wounds caused by loss of a loved one through death or separation. Used to decrease coughs and soothes the lung area.

I went to the Doctor to deal with a cough and my emotional issue is about loss of a loved one and a deep emotional wound. So what do you think of that? See the magic in life.

He also gave me a card which said ‘Bringing you the breath of healing’. Wow

He then wrote me a note whilst I was paying for coffee this is what he wrote –

MAY THE GREAT SPIRIT GUIDE YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY OF LIFE, MAY YOU WALK IN PEACE, LOVE, HARMONY AND PLEASE WALK IN BALANCE WITH MOTHER EARTH.

Again I smiled, I am seeking to bring my life into balance as I have moved so much, I am looking at health, inner peace and meditation for balance. To self nurture is my aim as peace is not only about conflict resolution it is about balance and harmony within ourselves and the planet. When you look past appearances of people, you see truth staring into your eyes. He had my best interests at heart. It was without doubt a sign. Can you believe that as you read.

He then gave me another note he wrote on the spot.

THE ROAD OF LIFE IS FULL OF TWISTS TURNS, DEAD ENDS WE ALL WALK THAT ROAD, LETS WALK IT NOT AS ENEMYS BUT HOLD HANDS AND WALK IT AS FRIENDS.

This is my own philosophy, the situation I experienced with the stonewalling was deeply unkind, I tried to reach out with compassion, understanding and honesty and it was met with silence. I just wanted to resolve any misunderstandings, to make peace, but the other party was not interested. It was deeply painful for me. At the same time it was a reality asserting itself, not everyone wants peace, many have hardened their hearts and are not connected emotionally. They don’t feel empathy for another, it doesn’t make them bad people, the reality is they are just disconnected. I can’t make them feel, I can only allow them to be who they are. That is the challenge with peace, is letting go (on the angel card), which I know deeply but must integrate now, if I am to be effective in my peace work.

So what a beautiful meeting, there is magic in life, I discount nothing and feel very much supported on this path of self discovery and peace. We exchanged addresses, that is trust. I told him if I feel inspired to come to see him I will, if not just allow life to be what it is. I hugged him and shook his hand and thanked him for sharing his time with me. I felt much better and smiled all the way home. That is what opening your life to others can bring, truly magical. You never know who you meet.

Make peace with yourself, is the key here, then you can serve the world with love.
