Peace – The Way and the Life
THE WAY AND THE LIFE
There has been many teachers,
For they have been here to show another way ,
Or indeed lead by example,
Some are famous others are not known,
Some have wealth, poverty or are in ascension,
Some are parents others walk alone,
Whatever the life journey a pearl of wisdom was cultivated as a gift,
And always this emerges from hardship,
Why does hardship have to exist?
Hardship is simply resistance to what is so,
What we resist persists,
The pain of hardship is the gift of deeper insight to all aware,
It is natural to look beyond when seeking a way out,
Then what we look at disappears,
That is – the illusion of its power is what disappears.
Peace is not in the military,
Peace is not in the government,
Peace is not in employment,
Peace is not in tenure,
Peace is not in aesthetics,
Power is created by fear, control and vanity,
True power only exists in virtue,
It is the truth that sets you free,
In a divided world there are many facets,
Like faces on a diamond,
Yet truth when fully known is realised.
Gandhi toward the end of his life realised that the Constructive Program was the pearl,
This is community empowerment,
Thich Nhat Hanh the Vietnamese Monk sparked the peace movement during the Vietnam war speaks of inner peace,
For all war is inner conflict unresolved,
Lao Tzu the ancient Chinese philosopher spoke of the universal way,
Integral beings who never violate their true nature,
Jesus spoke of the way and the life,
this was the way of the heart,
Only through feeling do you truly awaken,
Buddha found happiness through compassion.
There were many wise voices who visited to reignite the light in the darkness of ignorance,
Yet wisdom is not taught at university as a heart based awareness,
It remains an intellectual description,
Wisdom does not skim the surface,
It seeks depth to ascertain the nature of the ocean feeling for the ancient current in time.
To live in harmony requires wisdom,
Wisdom returns to the true nature,
Spiritual cultivation is a way of life,
That there is no enemy,
We are all one,
Same same but different,
As our true nature is a life in balance,
Free from attachment to negativity.
The evolution of humanity is a process,
The door can only be opened by living in truth,
One cannot buy their way,
One cannot give inspiring lectures,
One cannot be a do gooder,
It is living authentically and honestly,
A simple seeking to serve the whole,
A pure hearted approach to life that seeks nothing in return,
For when one is complete there is no need,
This is the homeostasis of Gaia.
If you choose peace on earth,
You must become the change you seek,
Be peace with your family, friends and strangers,
If you want a world that is loving,
Then love your family, friends and strangers,
If you want truth in the world,
Then be truthful to your family, friends and strangers,
If you want social inclusion then include your family, your friends and strangers in your circle of life,
If you want happiness then give it to others,
And it will return through the life process.
Peace is freed from all negative influences,
From addictions to stimuli to feel alive,
From unhealthy patterns,
From long working hours,
Peace is living the life you always wanted but were afraid to embrace,
Peace is a beauty beyond description,
It is our natural state of being,
Not an idealistic dream,
The world has lost its way,
Hardship is the gift that is being sent,
And when we no longer deny what is true,
The truth will set us free … definitely!
