Julian Assange to be Arrested in the UK? May the Force be With Him?

My feeling about this case is ‘the public interest’.  My next feeling is how many computers have the US, UK, Australia, Canada and all 193 countries of the world hacked into?  How many illegal activities have they undertaken under the veil of goverance and national interest? How is it permissible for intelligence communities and corporations to do this in the name of competition (profits) but if civilians do it and expose information in the public interest, they become public enemy No. 1 as those secrets are not to be revealed and they must be punished to ensure others learn. This will not work as always someone will do this. The real focus is to ask: Can I look into my own face when truth is revealed?  What is my fear?  What are the implications?

In reality what has happened here is that public awareness has been raised at the illegality of governments, misconduct and serious privacy issues.  To my constant amazement the corporate sector are mastering cyber technologies (devised by Defence Departments) and using them to profile, track, personalise civilians without public awareness to ensure they maximise profits.  This is been done on mass as Snowden revealed without criminal suspicion or a warrant but increasingly it appears to me it is due to fears of negative undercurrents in civil society and to suppress freedom of speech. Of course there are legitimate uses of technology to catch criminals but that is another matter.

I have no doubt there is a dark cloud that is uploading information for political purposes.  In my view it has come from a deep psychological disconnect from humanity that has no checks and balances.  I am seeing more clearly that it is like this conflict becoming visible between control and freedom, left and right, us and them and so on.  It is a perennial conflict emerging from subconscious fears of powerlessness, vulnerability and the need to defend wealth.  I am conscious that the global society is crying out for those disconnected to look around themselves at the result of their actions and its impact on people, society, peace and the planet. It is evident these practices are not leading us to peace in truth which is the Charter of the United Nations.  Those leaving the Human Rights Council are sending a signal they do not respect human rights which makes civil society vulnerable if they decide they want democracy and speak up.  This is the concern across the world that totalitarianism taking over and anyone uttering any dissent is whisked away as they did under Nazi Germany, the Stasi, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, thought police in China, Taliban religious police in Afghanistan, religious persecution under the banner of terrorism and corruption in law enforcement and political office.  I believe that to be the fear at this time.

I am going to sit with this for a moment to feel it out.  Fear is the first feeling.  It is the fear of loss of control that drives this desire for dominance. Deep insecurity is behind the mask.  Identity is associated with position.   Property is security. There is no compassion in this mind set as stories are invented to justify the need for control and rights are ignored as impediments. It reminds me of the British in India where a small number controlled millions. There was a deep fear of non cooperation with authority, this heightened when the entire nation fasted and all essential services were not operating, their vulnerability was evident. Vulnerability is the unquestioned fear.  All humans feel this.  The environmental events are in truth the real issue behind this fear (caused by it) as we move towards collapse as we are out of balance with life support systems.

I am aware that there is a mass consciousness on the planet that you cannot control as it is connected on many levels.  I also am aware that we are playing out our lives in interesting ways with purpose.  From a higher perspective there are no enemies just experiences that are happening as we ultimately all learn from life and ultimately decide who we really are.  I see this as the big picture framing the drama.  It is only through contrast, conflict and so called wars (business, military) that humanity decides who it is and who it is not.

The article below had some perceptions that there are decisions being made by the collective in respect to how they respond if Assange is arrested.  In many respects he is symbolic of the freedom of humanity and expressing the growing underlying distrust of government. He is seen as shining a light on what has been hidden to the deep anger of the deep state.  I did write deep states, I feel to say that again as it is coming from a history of secrecy, a history of profit maximisation, perceptions about power, status and control that masks deep fear.  I have felt this fear and sat quietly feeling compassion for those frightened of their structure falling apart as their identity connects to this and sense of purpose.  I can only say gently here that it is falling, indeed crumbling, as it has to as it is not sustainable with the planet or earth systems.  This is not because humanity is going to pull it all down, universally it cannot be upheld as distrust, greed, jealousy, ruthlessness, brutality eventually has to fall as people will not support it.  Fate means from all thoughts everywhere, this is collective consciousness.  As Gandhi says ‘empires always fall’, he was right.  They can seem powerful but ultimately this dark side so to speak is not strong as it is not one with life.  Real strength expresses in kindness, compassion, yielding, sharing, allowing and loving life.  Oneness with life is the real power on this earth that is not understood but it is what it is.  So we play out the demise of this old paradigm that served us for a time as we learned from it but today it is sinking the ship, where all will lose ultimately.

It is time to call ‘time out’ in this zero sum Game and focus on how we want it to be in the future.  If you don’t like surveillance of yourself then look at what you do want ‘a world where our sovereignty and privacy is respected’, ‘a world where we work together as equals’, ‘where we educate peaceful humans’, ‘we create infinite possibilities’, ‘we create space to be creative, inventive, exploratory’ etc.  It is to focus on the real power of who we are, which is incredibly beautiful with potential that is unlimited. Why not let go of control and focus on where this species is going. The world you want for your kids is a nice place to start as that is meaningful to you.

I note the anger in the defenders of Assange and I would say to them ‘what you resist persists what you look at disappears‘.  I recall the scene in Star Wars where Luke Skywalker fights the dark side in the forest of his fears.  He kills Darth Vader and the mask blows up to shockingly seeing his own face.  In another Star Wars film he fights Darth and is struck and his hand comes clean off, suddenly a dark hand replaces it.  The point being made by the wise director (Steven Spielberg) is what you fight you become.   I will post it here so you feel it.

So it is to see aspects of the other in ourselves. That is why I often say in this blog ‘you are me’.  I am not tempted to go into them and us.  The dark aspect is in everyone.  It makes me step in the ring and know I could be you under similar conditions.  I will speak my truth to you but never hate you as I understand you. However, I will continue to speak up until change arises naturally like the fruit falling off the tree at the perfect time, it is inevitable.

Anyway, with that, here is the article about Julian Assange. I don’t know how he has coped with house arrest for so long, very challenging. He has indeed played his part and life has protected him.  May the force be with him.

Be Prepared To Shake The Earth If Julian Assange Is Arrested

Today British foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt repeated the tired old canard that WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Julian Assange “is free to walk out of the doors of the Ecuadorean embassy any time he wishes,” despite the fact that the US government has been increasingly open about its desire to arrest Assange, and that the UK government has for six years refused to say whether it has received a US extradition request from the government which tortured Chelsea Manning. He’s as free to leave as a man with a gun pointed at his head after being told “Don’t move or I’ll shoot.”

“Serious charges have been laid against him and we want him to face justice for those charges but we are a country of due process,” Hunt said of Assange. “At any time he wants to he is free to walk out onto the street of Knightsbride and the British police will have a warm welcome for him.”

Hunt didn’t specify what those “serious charges” are, which is weird, because as far as the public record goes, there are none. Assange was never charged in the notorious Swedish sexual assault investigation, and that investigation was dropped months ago. The closest thing to a charge on the record is a warrant for an alleged bail violation which was absurdly filed a full 12 days after he applied for asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy, and any charge arising therefrom would not be “serious” by any stretch of the imagination.

So we have a UK official publicly stating that there is an agenda to arrest Assange on mysterious “serious charges” right before a visit to the UK by Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno, who recently met with US Vice President Mike Pence and reportedly discussed Assange. This follows almost four months of Assange being completely silenced and cut off from the world by the Ecuadorian government for tweeting political commentary. And, according to the editor-in-chief of RT Margarita Simonyan, there are in fact plans to turn Assange over to British authorities “in the coming weeks or even days.”

“The above report that UK and Ecuador are preparing to turn Assange over to UK appears to be true,” commented journalist Glenn Greenwald on Simonyan’s statement. “Big question is whether the US will indict him and seek his extradition, the way Sessions and Pompeo vowed they would. Can’t wait to see how many fake press freedom defenders support that.”

How many indeed? For all the viral, click-friendly wailing and rending of garments about Donald Trump’s “war on the press” because he says “fake news” and picks on Jim Acosta, does anyone expect the so-called free press to rush to the defense of a journalist who is being actively and aggressively persecuted with the full might of the western empire for publishing authentic documents about that very same empire?

We are about to find out if this is the part of the movie where the empire rips off the mask of freedom and democracy and reveals its true tyranny. Assange is a soft target, a controversial figure who has been on the receiving end of wildly successful smear campaigns marketed to every major political faction across the western world. He is the logical place to begin a crackdown on press freedoms and make a public example of what happens to those who shine the light of truth upon Big Brother.

If we allow them to imprison Julian Assange for practicing journalism, that’s it. It’s over. We might as well all stop caring what happens to the world and sit on our hands while the oligarchs drive us to ecological disaster, nuclear annihilation or Orwellian dystopia. If we, the many, don’t have the spine to stand up against the few and say “No, we get to find out facts about you bastards and use it to inform our worldview, you don’t get to criminalize that,” then we certainly don’t have the spine it will take to wrest control of this world away from the hands of sociopathic plutocrats and take our fate into our own hands.

The arrest of Julian Assange would be the fork in the road. It would be where we collectively decide as a species whether we want to survive into the future, and if we deserve to.

They do seem to be gearing up for something. Russia hysteria is at its most shrill and hysterical peak ever right now, and it just happens to be coming at a time when one of the key players in the establishment Russia narrative has been completely cut off from the world, unable to defend himself.

So be ready to shake the earth if they decide that this is a good time to sink their talons into him. If they touch one silver hair on that man’s head, we must unleash relentless worldwide outrage the likes of which they have never before seen. Because we’re not just fighting for Assange, we’re fighting for our very survival.

Jeremy Corbyn has spoken out in defense of WikiLeaks and Assange in the past. His moral character combined with his continual rise toward the leadership of the British government may partly explain the rush to arrest Assange as quickly as possible. In what was in my opinion one of the most exciting occurrences in politics last year, Corbyn read an excerpt from Percy Bysshe Shelley’s “The Masque of Anarchy” before an audience of thousands at the 2017 Glastonbury festival.

Corbyn roared:

“Rise, like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number!
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you:
Ye are many—they are few!”

If Assange is arrested, that will be our cue to rise like lions from our slumber, which has gone on far too long at far too great a cost. We cannot permit them to use, exploit and oppress us like this anymore. We are the many. They are the few. Be ready to rise.
