Find Yourself in Community

We are in common unity.

The earth from space,

Is radio-active,

Radio waves are crashing,

In an atmosphere abuzz,

For the life blood is drying,

As one watches from outer space,

The inner space is in drought,

For one has no nourishment,

For the river of life is drying up,

From the mountain to the sea,

The rivers are no longer free,

To flow.

Many voices are speaking,

For waves become a matrix,

The matrix is confused,

For signals over-ride,

The one voice.

For to sing in a choir,

To sing as a citizen band,

We blend and harmonise,

We see that we can win,

Only when we begin,

To forget ourselves.

The world is at a cross road,

For many are angry,

The flow has stopped,

The supply is tapped,

The infinite is capped,

For targets are not exceeded,

By greed.

War is distraction,

Democracy reaction,

For empowered action is seldom seen,

The media capture images,

That make you bleed,

For you are weakened,

You are numbed,

For your life force is extracted,

As you tire from obligation,

That imprisons your vision,

For you can see nothing,

But self.

Community is more than one,

It is seeing further than self,

It is sharing one’s wisdom,

Sharing one’s wealth,

It is by stealth that you provide,

For one does it not for praise,

For the joy is in giving alone,

The laughter is in a common end,

For we are here to find ourselves,

In community,

For it is common unity,

That sees itself in another,

This is the family tree,

That provides a shade,

That bears fruit,

That has deep roots,

And allows you,

To breathe again.
