BBC Climate Change Melting Skepticism?

The big question is do we change or wait for the climate to change or both? I live a life of constant change and it is nothing to fear, it is when life gets exciting.  I adapt to all the places I live and I’ve lived in hundreds.  I find I just change naturally to be in harmony.  So it is natural.

I studied biology and natural selection is all about adaptation.  It is clear that the whole ecosystem is one energy, one breath, one life force.  Start playing with the configuration and balance of the planet and you start playing Russian Roulette in my view.  I smile at the climate skeptics.  I smile as I know most of us do not live in nature, we have no idea what a summer or winter solstice is, we know nothing about the changes to plants and animals seasonally, we barely even notice the temperature oscillations.  However, increasingly the changes are so clear that people are acknowledging changes are here.  It matters not if you think it is solar or human induced.   How we live on the planet is clearly facilliating not only animal and plant extinctions, we are polluting streams, logging forests, placing chemicals in the food change, changing the genetic structures, mining on huge scales, depleting the planet at an alarming rate.  One way or another we are changing the future.

If it is solar, not much you can do there.  If it is human (which ecological change is) then we have plenty of opportunity to change the way we live.  Nature is challenging us to learn how to live in harmony with each other (to solve problems) and with nature (sustainability).  She is a wise system and yes folks she is conscious.  How do we know this? she adapts to change.  How does she know to do it? She is programmed with genetic intelligence (as we are) and feels change instantly. All of life is interconnected and interdependent in the one body.  Just imagine your own body. How do we know she is intelligent? ask a biologist to explain the intelligence not only of each life form but the design of life, it is an intelligent system that self regulates.  We simply live on her surface and think she is there for our exploitation.  We are yet to learn that working with nature ensures we are naturally selected or earmarked for extinction.  We do have choices.

First, my short poem on climate, note the words ‘global change’.  It is all in the wording, don’t get hung up on the words ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’, just note we are impacting the world adversely and lets excitedly find the solutions.  Below is a BBC documentary  (scoll down).

 CHANGING YOUR CLIMATE?

The global climate is changing,

Stern reports have been issued,

For policy is to set out a new course,

As business-as-usual charts depleted resources,

As carbon has lost credit,

As fossilized industry is a relic

Of an old paradigm,

For now is the time to change.

Where are the solutions to human pollution?

What is our shared respons-ability?

Do we have the ability to respond to global change?

I watch as many are sitting down trying to suspend standing orders,

As double barreled questions,

Play double jeopardy,

Dammed if you do answer,

Dammed if you don’t answer,

Yet damming the supply of truth,

Rings the division bell globally,

Raising global temperatures to boiling point,

Moving to the point of no return,

As flood pans cause depressions

In the future.
