Write Your Own Story Or Are You Just Acting?

This is for all the actors, writers, directors who felt they didn’t make it. You certainly did would be my response. The real plot is that success is learning to love who you are in what you are doing NOW. Life is successive, you can never fail in truth.

There is no failure, it is simply life taking you in a new direction that was not scripted in your mind. Every moment of your life is full of meaning and there is a story everywhere you choose to focus, why not focus on your story?

I never intended to step into my story but I found from the moment I dreamed I was teaching peace, my world did indeed change. When I started to disengage from what other people’s expectations were and focus on what I wanted, it all changed. I no longer felt I had to keep up, earn money or impress anyone. Certainly if people looked at my life they may see I don’t own a house, have no children (that I know of ha), no assets (apart from the car) and no job, other than the one I created for myself. I’ve had to trust life to take me to where I need to go. I realised I am not in control when I let go.

From my perspective, everyone is a star. Every person has something incredible to offer life and you are the creator of opportunities. So what if they are unpaid, do it if you feel to. If money is the driver and success the outcome, you will be disappointed, as life seldom creates in accordance with what people think they want, however it does respond to what you feel. If you transform your need for recognition into a desire to serve, you will find many worlds opening up. Many you could not have scripted. I would never have expected myself to become a World Peace Clown, I laugh a lot even today at my own journey. I just resonated with a comedy team who wanted to make people happy. I’ve never been an entertainer but I do love people and I have a sense of humour, luckily I don’t take myself too seriously (although some may think I do), I actually don’t. Because of that attitude I just give it a go and see how life unfolds. To me the really exciting part of this life is not knowing. Even if the money isn’t there, it is fun to explore what happens. So I am watching the moment, not the future.

I recognise there may be interest in what I am saying and doing, but at the end of the day, I think if all people just focus on themselves and learn the wisdom from trying life on, they won’t be disappointed.

There are many who want to be Hollywood stars. My friend’s son is a handsome guy who is planning to go to Hollywood. He is pretty confident but this is another world. People are attracted to the glamour, the money, the power of this world, but it is not the real world. The world I have been priviledged to see is within myself and I can never lose it. The joy I feel from new experiences, new people, endless poetry coming to me and inner happiness, is indescribable. I doubt I would last long in Hollywood as I find the wealth actually creates barriers between people, they don’t really connect deeply with each other. Many are being seen to be and they have their friends. I prefer an open society where we are open with everyone. No-one in my world is a loser or failure. I see everyone as succeeding at life, as they are here. It is not an easy world to navigate but if you approach it in a way that is open, loving and accepting of differences and never aspire to be someone else, you begin to live your own story. That is a great story. Remember to live your own story is not to be seen to be, it is just being yourself and accepting where you are. Noticing the passing parade, noticing what you are learning, noticing how you are growing, feeling gratitude for the roof over your head, your kids or your partner or living independently. Experience looking up at the blue sky or running barefoot in the grass, swimming naked in a river, feeling life until you burst. This is the world that is worth living for. This is the new story that is not attached to should’s or shouldn’ts, it is freedom. Don’t let the cyber world distract you. Go outside and feel free.

On that note, I think I will take my own advice and get going.

I send love to you in whatever capacity you come to my blog. Remember you are not a failure, you tried. I believe in you.
