The Phoenix Awakens

It’s interesting I am typing up some old poems I wrote as I seem to have lost the electronic copy. I realise I have had my philosophy a long time. Funny how much we forget we know.

I’ve just edited the poem on a feeling.

THE PHOENIX

The phoenix speaks to me,

It rests in my garden,

The phoenix sings the song of love,

From the tree of life,

It rises from the ashes,

It arrives when logic clashes,

With greed,

The phoenix is our creed.

Darkness is born to be destroyed,

The light is eternal and hope is buoyed,

On the wings of freedom.

My life oscillates,

In a vibration of understanding,

And misunderstanding,

Of love and fear,

It stands on the cliff of choices,

But it seems so sheer,

It seems impossible,

But what is possible,

Who can say,

Until you try,

There may not be another day

to fly.

Jump over
fear

Don’t think
feel

Stand at the brink
of something new

For a new life waits for us
in each moment

And the glory of a new being
A new way of seeing

Through the eyes of eternal love
Is the silent dove

Through universal standards,
Laws cannot be broken

Our life turns
our passion burns

When we awaken
From the ashes of what was
To find what is
Is the pre-sent
