Standing on the Pier of My Life

STANDING ON THE PIER OF MY LIFE

The life of my day blinks,

As I open my eyes,

The sea washes away the moment,

There is no trace of what was,

The moment is forever here,

Standing on the pier of my dreams.

I go through the motions,

The mountains of my track,

Reveal other ways,

To climb to the summit of progress,

As I canvas this story,

In the strokes of my pen,

The moments blend,

The new age adds to the sculptures

of time.

So nice to see you my old friend,

Standing still in the memory of time,

Nothing has changed,

Easy conversation,

Filling in the gaps,

Completing the sentence,

Asking new questions,

No pretence,

For we have spoken many times,

Dreamed with many wines,

Mature and aged.

Philosophical moments,

We turn another page,

As my story creates a new chapter,

Recorded on my heart,

An akashic record imprinted,

As every moment is golden,

To die to endless stories,

Of a precious life.
