Is Justice The Right To Live or Die?
I see a world in the future where what I see in you I realise is in me, and what you see in me you realise is in you. This becomes the beginning of peace where we understand that our world is a mirror. Sometimes it is very hard to see that mirror as our thoughts of being right are so strong. Anything that questions our beliefs we are sure is wrong, and thus we can turn it into an enemy. I see the mirror both ways for sure. When we experience clarity of what is, we start to see our world as One. Many years ago I wouldn’t have understood this, but now I do. I’ve had to question my own beliefs to realise peace.
I send love and peace to both those who torture and those who are experiencing torture. May the truth set us all free.
Here is an article about the strange juxtaposition of forced feeding at Guantanamo Bay as torture. Yet the reason the person wants to die (hunger strike) is that he can’t bear the torture of living in the conditions. A strange legal and human rights irony.

Yet one thing is for sure, the forced feeding is not based on love or a desire for the person to live and the prisoner doesn’t really want to die.
A poetic reflection.
Is Justice the Right to Live or Die?
What is the greatest human rights violation?
To break the will or imprison freedom?
Psychological warfare,
Bullying,
Abuse,
Sees an enemy to be destroyed,
A drone to be deployed,
Yet what if the enemy was within?
What if the fear of guilt is the perceived sin?
For when you exchange your perception for the truth,
What do you see?
What is it in him that you mirror?
What is it in you that he mirrors?
For the war on terror mirrors the fear of sin,
And this always begins and ends from within,
When there is one in the room without a view.
All humans are encoded with self-determination,
Is submission – life liberty and freedom?
Is humiliation – the right to happiness?
For when happiness is gone there is no will to live,
For is it the will to live in freedom that is broken?
As the right to life is the tourniquet twisting a right to torture,
The pain is so great that freedom waits on the other side of insanity,
The unknown heaven of death is preferred to the known hell of living without humanity,
Yet he is forced to live to face the hell of pain,
From which there is no escape or mercy to sustain,
There is no greater hell then the loss of the freedom to self-determination,
Therefore: is justice in-kind?
Does an eye for an eye make the whole world blind?
Auschwitz concentration camp – Germany,
Tuol Sleng prison – Cambodia,
Insein prison – Burma,
Are prison camps of prejudice, traitors and dissent,
Locking away equality, democracy and difference,
In cells of division where the other is always wrong,
For weaknesses all possess.
The war on terror is futile when fighting fire with fire,
Can we teach the right of justice without trial?
Can we teach the right of freedom by imprisonment?
Can we demonstrate human rights by denying the right to live or die, is this the lie?
Will torture teach respect and human dignity?
Should he suffer for his crime or be enlightened in time?
Can we kill hatred or is it our hatred that tries to kill?
Can we destroy what we resist or does it persist?
The war on terror creates more terror it seems,
As like attract through being,
Virtue and vice do not make good in-mates,
When every person is innocent until proven guilty,
Perhaps this is for society to debate civily?
