Our World is Under Pressure

People need to express.  People need to be heard.  People need to break free when under intense pressure.  If this is unheard like any pressure cooker the lid will blow.  When I studied Peace Studies we discussed the pressure cooker scenario and the importance of community expression to release pressure.

We live in a world where we are not asked what we want or what we feel.  We have to smile and just pretend all is good.  The reality is behind closed doors people are not happy, they just keep on as many feel trapped in lives where they feel they have no control.  Their energy is used in pursuit of others interests.  They do not know who they are and feel there is nothing they can do.  They are just replaced as if their lives don’t matter.  In my world every single person matters.  Every person is of the highest value.  Every person has a purpose.  Everyone is a miracle.

Queen’s song under pressure speaks to that common pressure that is unexpressed and unheard.   To release the pressure one must move into a space of ‘to thine own self be true’, they must unravel where they feel powerless and find their voice.  In truth we have inner power and we have a voice.  Just keep singing your song.  Nonviolently.

For me poetry, writing, clowning, speaking my truth, living my life from my own inner feeling and honouring life is the freedom I love so dearly.  Creativity is what provides a sense of completion.

“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.”
