Reaching Out to the Heart of Humanity

HEART OF HUMANITY

I understand why people demonise each other,

Why they make another out to be the enemy,

Why they blame them and make them wrong,

For these are the ways to emotionally cut,

To disengage,

To not be swayed,

To not engage,

With humanity.

For it is easy to leave,

It is harder to stay,

It is easier to ignore,

Then listen to what they say,

It is easier to get your own way,

Rather than share what you have,

For many are selfish,

Many are driven by greed,

Many are careless,

For they no longer care,

Who you are.

I am seeing many do not give,

They take what they can,

For to make money,

One must take,

For to give money,

One must look for the need,

These are two eyes that see a different world,

For we are shaped by our beliefs,

We are shaped by the system,

We see what we are told to see,

We are rewarded when we see what you say,

For to think for ourselves,

Is outrageous today.

I have been told I am dangerous,

I laughed at these words,

I am told that to slip the rope,

To decouple from the chain,

To live in freedom,

Means I cannot be controlled,

And this is true,

For I knew,

That to create the new world,

I must be independent,

I must be interdependent,

I must listen,

For I am being told,

What to do.

For many are coming to me,

They are disguised,

But I recognize the words and know their shape,

For it is my fate to do great things,

I am not here to start a family,

But to rejoin the family,

Of humanity.

But I have a lot to learn,

I must speak more openly,

I must reduce my sensitivity,

To hurtful words,

For all they are is someone’s hurt,

Sent out like arrows,

It is not me,

Unless it stops me being free,

And that is my responsibility,

To ensure that I expand my sphere,

For my influence will be wide and far,

For real hope is the arrow of love,

That will reach the heart,

Of humanity.
