Is Political Democracy A Golden Goose?

I felt inspired to look at the boom and bust of our time. To find there is no golden goose.

IS POLITICAL DEMOCRACY A GOLDEN GOOSE?

What is political democracy?
What is expediency and raw power?
Political action committees,
Midnight sittings,
Profiting from actions that are political,
Behind the walls on the street,
Is not the main street,
But the high street,
Lined with hedge funds,
That are no longer fun.

2008 financial debacle,
Shows tentacles stretching to the White House,
Banking left then right,
To create a steady state,
The middle class is squeezed,
A no man’s land,
For there is no discipline,
When speculation is king kong,
That is the song that sings whilst it is played,
For it is not wrong when greed is good,
When the few are winning,
The game is never over,
Until the fat lady stops singing.

The giant Casino,
Many players rushing to play roulette,
Digitised unarmed bandits,
Pulling levers in cyber space,
For this is a race against time,
As time runs out for this race,
There is no room for home improvements,
Just a room with a view of the whole city,
Plush executive suites,
Crush velvet suits,
Chandeliers,
Leer jets,
To be fat is happy,
And this is the contagion,
Ringing in our ears,
A legionnaire’s disease,
For there are legions feeling the dis-ease,
Of unchecked growth,
That is not green,
For it is never seen,
Only heard,
As speculation is the Word on the street,
Walls of Jericho find what is fragrant,
As floods and droughts multiply vagrants,
Catching cold is the catchment,
As the handkerchief of secrecy shields bail outs,
For the public good is afraid of swine flew,
They yield interest to cut rates,
To apply pressure to interrupted flows,
For leaches group together in syndicates but do not clot,
To discover the bleeding is unstoppable,
Non renewable circulation is incorrigible,
Corruption diverted from system maintenance to vital organs,
To find the head without a heart,
As e.coli is a replicating toxin without a loci,
As rehydration invests in good treatment
after standards are poor,
To find Euro logic abnormalities favour,
Unabated growth,
Of self interest,
On the boil.

Where is the gold in the sacks?
Did morgan gallop?
Could they jump the hedges,
Guessing the heights and weights,
Or leverage to get over short falls,
To find black holes have a gravitational pull,
That do not rollover,
When defeated.

To fail is to free fall,
To fall is for free,
As consumer selection determines reserves,
Whilst corporate welfare,
Wails at the wall,
For to sink or swim,
Finds history repeating the mantra,
The ruling elite bail out chatter,
Rushing out of the ivory towering inferno,
To find soft options.

The eagle will soar,
When it returns to the core,
To find the nest of glastegel,
Is laying gold eggs as the standard,
Alchemy transforms the base into gold,
In search of real wealth,
For the state of health,
Finds love is the currency exchange,
That knows no arbitrage as a camouflage,
For fear based cultures hungry for profits,
Take the golden goose to market,
To find what is free is not fair,
As it falls and calls,
Simpletons are let loose,
Chasing after gold they become stuck,
Seeking the palace with their golden goose,
They are out for a duck,
The princess rises from her slumber
and laughs,
She sees the greedy have run amok,
As the proper-gander,
Follows the crowd in circles,
Of downward spirals,
Leaving her in paroxysms of laughter,
As humpty dumpty loses balance and falls from the wall,
For no goose can lay golden eggs silly!
For they were painted faces and that was the yoke,
Weighing the economy down was bullish,
As fairytales are the real joke of the foolish,
That can only turn out happy,
If the egg hatches what is real,
Honouring all life finds the seven seals heals,
To find the real gold produces the goose,
Then lets it loose,
To find freedom is a fair trade,
That leaves no-one
Wanting.
