Dharma on the Hill Of Changing Perspectives

Dharma on the hill is the name of the place I am staying.

I felt the call to write my truth tonight. It is quite cold sitting outside, but I can’t go in until it is written. Have a beautiful sleep if it is dark, have a beautiful wakefulness if it is light. For always we move from dark to light.

DHARMA ON THE HILL OF CHANGING PERSPECTIVES

I sit outside on the terrace of my castle,
Overlooking the sea of city lights,
I hear the palm leaves rustle,
As I sit with my palms up.

My vision takes in the artificial intelligence,
Peppered lights sprinkling and winking from distance places,
Illuminating distant faces,
I see the city a circled fortification rising up from sea level,
Ivory towers like great mountains
towering over this inferno of economic survival,
Focused revival on beacons of wealth,
Generating, producing, productive,
The night lights look so inviting,
Seducing the curious heart,
That excitement lives in the centre of wealth,
Yet beneath the magic of instant lights,
An umbilical chord still attached to coal fired stations fuelling our addiction,
That is not outback but on the periphery,
For it seems a clean coal as I breath in the night air,
Listening to the hum of horsepower believing this is the free-way,
Yet silently surruptiously natures bounty burns up before my eyes,
Why do we burn the midnight oil what is the gain?.
So many are asleep why do they not wake?

The breeze curls around my hair,
As nature spirits uplift my heart as if whispering,
Inhaling exhaling the breath of nature,
For I am breathed,
The Tibetan prayer flags bow and rise,
Following an unknown cosmic process,
A secret nature that feels the true currents of our time,
Then suddenly returning to stillness,
Yet this row of symbols could be a simple washing line,
Towels drying dishes in community
rather than rushing to fill the dishwasher,
For we choose to live in harmony with nature or race against time,
Which do we value?

Yet there are no savings in labour,
When carbon’s credit rating is the standard of poors,
Is not worthy when cost accounting is in arrears,
For we are mortgaging the next generation,
Who have no power to move mountains. .

I make my way back inside my cave,
My safe house,
I walk over polished wood floors,
Rainforest timber under my feet,
I reach for a glass,
A melting pot of sands,
I see the sands in the hour glass,
1 minute to midnight,
Yet it is so soft to touch and curved as if ice could never melt,
For I am tapping into sculptured water courses
that ebb and flows meandering endlessly,
Water tables under pressure supply networks of criss crossing pipes to the city,
Where swags and billabongs used to dwell,
Swelling an underground lattice works,
For solutions are in the pipeworks,
To supply industry, lawns, cars and coffees,
All at the end of a tap,
Where is the root?
We must tap the root?
Why not collect natures bounty in the tank
Fresh each day from exploding clouds,
Ionized water bursting with energy combustion,
To bring you life without a price,
I join with the hydrological cycle,
We have channels of artificial lakes of storage ponds,
Polluted sediments to dam reservoirs,
Filtrated, chemical cocktails of chorine
Killing fields of organisms,
Stagnating the full body of our life.

Did you know 70% of the earth is water?
60% of the human body is water,
I realize I am water,
Water is me,
Why am I damming the flow of my true life?

It is time to sleep for I am weary of work,
I turn off the lights and save another tree,
I shower to wash off the stress of the workforce,
And I am forced to work,
I watch the water sprinkling and blossoms through a shower rose,
It is not a hose,
Or a bucket,
Or from a stream,
The journey from the ocean to the stream is a mirage in a world of 9 to 5,
I turn it off when it is finished,
For it may be finished when I turn on,
Reality.

I curl up in my bed,
For my life is supported in ways I do not see,
I close my eyes to dream of a sustainable planet,
To dream of peace,
To make peace with my dreams,
For I am the dream keeper,
Dreaming up new ideas for you to keep,
For you are me,
And I am you,
And what I do for you,
I do for myself,
Why do we block each other?
When we are lovers of life?

For we are indeed each others keepers,
So keep the earth as a keep sake,
For god sake keep it safe,
For it is a gift of life silently granted by one,
Tomorrow it could be gone,
The lights of the future I see twinkle suddenly turn off,
The midnight oil is finished,
Peak oil is the coil that no longer burns bright,
As the lights fall into darkness,
Self realization turns on,
As we enter into a new Golden Age,
That does not choose gold,
But finds the new earth,
A new Dharma of universal harmony,
Is the new natural law that does not bind but frees,
Ushering in the illumination of an enlightenment,
That lights up the cosmos,
For all to see.
