Living Truth: Is the truth living?

Just imagine if everyone loved their neighbour as themselves. The neighbour can be a work collegue, a person on the street, it is the person you share space with. Everyone is your neighbour and if all thought of their neighbour, they would consider their needs as they would expect to be considered. Nice thought.

LIVING TRUTH

Many would say,
They don’t believe that innocents suffer,
Yet you are innocent,
And you suffer.

We believe that if we are bad,
We are punished,
And this idea came from many teachings,
But the preachings that one must adhere to,
Is to love thy neighbour,
As oneself,
And one doesn’t need to be Christian,
One doesn’t need to be Buddhist,
One doesn’t need to be atheist,
For these are values,
And all can share when we care,
And respect the right to choose our path,
In freedom,
For black swans are graceful,
Black swans are rare,
And it is only when look into beauty,
That we find what is fair for all.

There is no threat in loving compassion,
There is no harm in peace,
For when one is still,
One is calm,
One is still calm,
And when one is calm,
One is not thinking revolution,
For only revolutionaries become afraid of thinking,
For they are guarding hidden treasures,
And the only treasure worth guarding,
Is inner truth.

When one ponders on mind control,
We know we are all controlled,
For we don’t mind,
Socialization teaches us how to behave,
How to get along and think the same,
But I wonder what would happen,
If we learned to be ourselves,
And this is the most dangerous statement,
How I hear you say?
It is becoming self determining,
It is becoming thoughtful,
It is choosing the higher path,
It is choosing to protect the earth,
Give a home to the children,
Choosing love over power,
Is the roof that provides real shelter,
And security,
For until we realize this as real,
We will live in the surreal,
And keep playing the game,
Until it is over,
For only love is real,
And you can only heal,
When you feel,
What is true and live it.
