A Global Society Founded on Respect of All Life

ur World is changing, we are evolving and the new earth that is arising will be founded on respect for all life.    Peace in ourselves is peace in the world, there is no separation, we are deeply interconnected to the planet and are one with it whether we realise this or not.

I found this initiative below and like the concept of Earth Councils.  I see inherent within this vision responsibility.  Responsibility is a state of maturity where we have the ability to respond to challenges.  We take responsibility for all of it, it is not about apportioning it.  If you realise that the earth is one energy and all of us are part of that energy, when thinking changes, the mosaic changes.  We see this clearly with decision makers and leaders, when they decide to focus resources then change takes place.  You can visualise the economic system with all the players engaged in transactions, activity occurs because of beliefs that money motivates and is the goal.  In a heart based society money will not be central as the actions will take place from decisions that focus on the greater good.  That is why a system based on greed is not in harmony with the planet. Greed encourages self interest, self gratification and egoic enhancement.  This type of system operates as separate parts unable to see the intimate interconnections and impact on the whole. The focus is desire directed to where the most money can be made, rather than the most good.  We see that clearly in education where young people choose occuptions that bring in the most money. Or in careers where the objective is to increase status (importance) and make more money as that is a social statement of success. One system operates in the cognitive mind (ego ‘the I’) and the other emerges from the heart (love).  Love always unifies as when you love you immediately join with others and become selfless. It is clear that these are different states of consciousness.  This is why our World will change.  One system will lead us in a direction of collapse as the planet cannot sustain greed it is not an infinite quarry. Gaia is a living system of complex interconnections with a primary purpose of sustaining life.  The heart based system will lead to sustainability as we become aware that the planet is a living being and harmony is the blueprint.  We have seen through ecological and scientific studies, the planet is self sustaining, it is intimately connected, the DNA is coded for adaptation, functionality and sustainability.   To move towards a system of harmony is not taking anything away it is gaining the World in fact.  Not only do we gain the physical World we gain the World of community, family, sharing and caring.  This is a World without depression, without haves and have nots, it is a World that understands what you do to another you do to yourself.  This is the shifting consciousness that is occuring.

Thus, the World is changing and so are you.  As they say, change is inevitable.  That is a truth, there is a second truth which would be the primary truth.  The one is.  Reflect on that.

FOSTERING A SUSTAINABLE GLOBAL SOCIETY

Earth Council Alliance (ECA) supports Earth Councils and other people and organizations committed to sustainability initiatives and preserving the world for today’s peoples and future generations. As an international organization, we are a non-government organization (NGO) incorporated in Switzerland. ECA supports autonomous Earth Councils founded during the last decade in with the goal of accelerating progress in achieving sustainability goals as they are framed in the Earth Charter, Agenda 21, and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Recognizing its international character and scope, ECA is being incorporated as a Swiss foundation in Geneva, and has established offices in San Diego, California, and Beijing, Peoples Republic of China.

Our goal is to foster increased awareness of sustainability achievements, problems and pragmatic solutions around the world. Our programs are designed to optimize access and cooperation across sectors, issues, and regions to deploy best practices. We seek to provide a platform for leaders at the grassroots and national levels to work together in solving problems and seizing opportunities outside the confines of traditional bureaucracies. With a clear understanding of the environmental challenges faced by present and future generations, the ECA will foster a global culture of active communication and collaboration among multiple constituencies and sectors.
