The Face of God

I was just about to go off-line and I had a feeling to post one more poem. I found the poem. It was written when I felt such inspiration that I cried. I felt omni (god) strongly and felt to try and capture my feeling as a poet whilst experiencing the feeling. This is my truncated attempt to paint the face I feel. I feel this energy as life itself and most definitely it comes to me as love. This is the bridge that leads me to understanding, unity and harmony. Where there is love there is joy. If you want to explore this, ask. En-joy.

THE FACE OF GOD

Gratitude is the attitude,
Shining forth on both valleys and mountain peaks,
For it is the spirit that seeks every crevasse,
Allowing every ebb and flow to surrender to life’s current,
To dive deep into the alms of life,
Leaves you as helpless as a child,
As you submit to the magic of it all,
Crying with joy as if consumed by the holy grail,
For eyes closed my heart is the brail
that feels the message of love in a universal language
that cannot be spoken,
That releases the face of god in every tear,
Succumbing to a feeling that has no words,
It is beyond this world yet it is this world,
Submerged in an ocean of weeping willows,
Love gripping unknown emotions in waves,
For I am completely home in the heart of this truth,
That fulfills my every need in this moment.

As diamonds form inner eyes of vision,
I see the valueless value of my life,
Reflected from each face I remember,
For I am grateful for their presence,
Redefining my essence as if by grace,
As I fall back in wonder at the wasted lives,
That never live on the verge of joyous tears,
Waiting to burst forth with such happiness,
This is a gift without quantum,
That no poet can ever stretch beyond the cocoon of language
to break free to find endless meaning.

How to capture the sun?
How to dance over the moon?
To be loved from within,
For there is nothing to seek outside,
I laugh as if tickled by the feather of truth.

I stare through clouded eyes for I can only clumsily grasp at straws,
For the raw feeling is indescribable fulfillment,
It is so incredible to feel this light touch,
That no hand can ever stimulate,
That no lover can ever emulate,
For every cell in the body is radiant with a light that shines from within,
And this is the love of ages that all artists try to capture in their folly,
This is the Philosopher’s Stone crumbling in the moment of true alchemy,
For it lives in the heart not the head,
And it cannot be imagined only experienced.

No religious text can inspire such beauty,
No one can pay for this indulgence,
Or take drugs to get a spiritual high,
For it is not an illusionary delusion,
It is a glimpse of the true self,
The original mystic’s secret yearning,
That all humans knew in antiquity,
As there was no division or names
separating identity from the whole truth.

All were part of the one integrated whole,
Of which many wise teachers have referred,
Yet today this seem as fairy tales, myths and legends,
Surreal Dali more real than the rote life,
For material distractions are the factions,
A fictitious prison from which the fractions of life are lived in the shallows.

The candle of life flickers eternal,
I feel an inner calm as the waves subside,
For I am a non-believer,
As I know the greatness in this life every day
it is simply breathing gratitude,
For I have nothing yet I have everything.

I am never alone in the miracle of love,
That never leaves me as I shake my head,
A smiling flame that passes from one heart to the next in eyes of acceptance,
For the wishing well brings all dreams to the surface,
Seeing the face of god reflected in the dreams of each face,
As only love is real when you see to look,
To be blessed is to know this without doubt,
As peace accepts all things, embraces joy and transcends the conflicted duality,
Beyond beliefs one travels beyond blue,
Into a unified field of irises,
A symbol that cherishes faith, wisdom, hope, friendship and lasting love
as life itself.
