Palestinian and Israeli Unity is Freedoms Call

I felt inspired to write this tonight. The message for Israel and Palestinians, is the same for the world.

May your heart open and see there is no enemy, we are all family and life is moving us on to a new future. Forgiveness is the path that leads us all home in peace. Forgiveness is the greatest courage, for one must forgive themselves. Killing and fear doesn’t create peace and never will as we are indeed our brothers and sisters keepers.

We are calling for freedom. In truth we are freedom calling. Will you answer or miss the call?

I awoke this morning with the feeling to offer practical advice. Peace in my view is not a political issue, it is a spiritual issue. The first question I would ask is 1) do you want peace? 2) what is peace?

Peace is a decision, it is not speeches, it is truly a decision to stop fighting and start learning.

The feeling of peace is release from negative beliefs, it is a surge of love as if opening your eyes to a beautiful world. In truth it is your own beauty you see all around you.

In situtions where you cannot make peace with the other side I would suggest learn to inquire into your thinking. For me, I have found Bryon Katie www.thework.com and it has made me look at my conflicts as my own inner wars. This is not hard to see as when i believe a negative thought I feel tense, angry and fight for justice.

If you are able to work with those who are willing to resolve, mediation is a great tool. What I learned from conflict resolution is that what we think about each other is misunderstanding or power struggles, which are still misunderstanding. When we believe something and move into right and wrong, our positions (stance) hardens and we do not budge. I am right you are wrong, end of conversation. Peace is like the shard of light that brings in the questions, the doubt, it is the seed that sees something in the other or indeed within yourself that is softer, perhaps a moment of compassion or shared understanding. This creates a little space to allow for the other to be present, or indeed exist (seen). Conflict resolution is about being able to say how you feel without blame or interruption and to be heard. The other party does the same. But it is not just pretending to hear, it is sitting deeply with the other and really hearing them without interruption. We often hear ourselves in conflict as we justify our anger, but when angry we can’t hear the other. The mediator helps both parties to communicate, ask questions, respond, generate options and solutions in a space that is respectful. What happens is that people see the other side, this is the bridge across which we walk to peace. Instead of fighting we start to understand, another shard of light, we stand in their shoes for just a moment. Peace expands and the parties start to talk and find ways to communicate that allow for another side. For always the enemy is the greatest teacher. We are mirrors of each other.

In conflict people have either learned that something is wrong, bad, less than etc. from parents or the culture around them. I feel god is asking us to turn inwards, to go into the heart, as I feel that is where truth sits silently waiting for us to be ready to resolve and find peace. Some believe they are strong if they don’t show weakness (softer side), in my view it takes incredible strength to admit you are wrong, to say sorry or to allow for another view that is different. Creation was meant to be different, however, the way we have dealt with problems has shown we haven’t understood a higher way, a way still being held out with an olive branch rather than a gun. You cannot solve any problem through violence, always it will be a false peace and that is not loving the other nor yourself. You get locked in and can’t get out, that is the prison all share.

Some will be so angry and say it is impossible to love the other. My response would be to learn to love yourself first then. Look at your child feel the love, look at other children, practice, look at strangers see their families around them, loving them. Much of the anger is that you didn’t do enough, you couldn’t protect your family, you didn’t say what needed to be said, you felt dishonoured etc. In truth anger is with the self, not the other. Annoyed that you feel weak, humiliated, disrespected etc. In truth you are not, you are believing thoughts that you are less. That is where the work starts, with you. To have equality, find it in yourself, to have solutions, find them in yourself, to have peace, create it in the family first. Practice on small conflicts to see the larger is the same. Peace always brings people together, as it is the energy of unity.

So whatever conflict you find yourself in, look at it with curiosity, not with the eyes of an enemy, that locks you in to hate. Life is a school, we are all learning lessons about ourselves. What you put out comes back. I realise there is deep hurt and trauma for people, but to find peace, we must release those traumas and find forgiveness in the now moment. It is to move away from thoughts that keep war alive in our minds, we continue the pattern and re-create it in life. What you focus on expands. We have to find a space for another way to emerge. Focus on peace.

If you don’t want anger, don’t be angry, if you don’t want violence, don’t be violent. If you want peace, feel it, be it. Walk the talk. You can feel it in looking at a flower, or your child, remember the feeling, that creates real change. You are no longer feeding the conflict with thoughts, you are accepting the moment where you are right now as a god send. God doesn’t make mistakes.

If what you are currently doing or saying doesn’t change the situation, then you have to open to another way. Peace is a decision to choose another way, to find the wisdom, to help people to find forgiveness, to be an example, look for the solution. For when you are at peace the whole world changes. They see you are not in the same pattern.

You do not need to be an activist, you can find stillness wherever you are. Eckhart Tolle speaks of stillness, many pray, or sit quietly.  Ttry doing this with no thought, just focus on your breathing. Listen to the breath inside and allow yourself to be shown. Be patient. Just surrender to peace and it will take you home. Letting go is not giving up, it is stopping war and finding peace exists within each.

Events will take their course, but trust when you are at peace, people will learn from you. I believe Jesus and Muhammad were peace makers. Find the peace in your teachings and go there. Anything that divides, is not peace, as we are one in truth. The oneness is shown through words that teach you to love your enemy. It is the highest love. As you choose peace no matter outer circumstances, the mirror for the other becomes clear. If you are fighting with them, they can’t see themselves, when you stop, they can. This reveals to them their own pain which they deny then turn into hate and projected onto the other. When one stops the war, they can see themselves more clearly.

Peace is not easy at first as it is self discipline to not enter hatred. Yet after a while it gets easier as you soften, you realise the other can’t see and believe their thoughts which torment them. Compassion seeks to end suffering. You can find peace in a prison, in a difficult family or in war. It is always there. It becomes visible in kind acts, compassion and loving service. That is how you experience god on earth, through love. God is love. When you choose love, the other disappears and I see my brother and sister before me, suffering. We have both suffered, but I am choosing love no matter, because that is who I am, what I identify with. I will be the change. Do you see peace now?

PALESTINIAN AND ISRAELI UNITY IS FREEDOMS CALL

The Palestinian is your cousin,
For she is homeless in her own home,
Yet when you visit you are a guest,
And you will receive all they can offer,
For their country is the land of the shepherd,
Trading crafts, arts, animals and spices,
For we are our brothers keeper,
As wise words from holy prophets when heard guide wise agreements:

The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr,
Those who are patient in adversity and forgive wrongs are the doers of excellence.

And no wailing wall can atone for violence,
For all must take action to bring down the walls,
Of division and racism.

The Israeli is your cousin,
For she is hostess in her home,
And when you visit you are the guest,
For you will receive offerings,
For their country is the land of the kibbutz,
Where community was growing, sharing and caring,
Peace was revered as a safe haven freed from oppression,
Yet how can peace be built on violent conquest,
For they did not love their neighbour as themselves,
As all neighbours had lost their love,
for themselves,
As this is the angel that appears as our common humanity,
For we are the same even when appearing different,
God comes in many guises,
We breathe, eat, love and cry the same,
For I am touched when I see the emotion in your eyes,
When you realise the disguise of cultural walls and religious edicts,
The tears form like diamonds sliding into helplessness,
As we are all dying inside,
For when one falls,
All domino’s fall across the world,
Barb wire and walls become the mount one must climb,
To remember ancient sermons,
To see the other as one self,
To find fear is the only enemy on both sides,
Parading as honour,
Yet there is no honour in killing,
In the scriptures of both sides,
For god loves brothers and sisters equally,
For war is not in the plan of ascension,
Murder and oppression is the stick of the power less,
That beats down wails into silent submission,
For the war is terror,
As the tears of misery cover the mystery,
Of peace,
That comes when war is ended
by free will.

The Palestinian question,
Asks why is oppression the answer?
The Jewish solution,
Asks what can we do to live in peace?
How do we heal the past and future?
How to love my brother as myself?
God said ‘thou shalt not kill’
Yet all commandments are broken,
All verses of division lead away from unity,
For how can holy ground be covered in blood?
For today this is the flood of climate change,
Where the animals have to be saved,
As sustainability is stained by military budgets,

The highest love asks:

No more suicide bombers,
No more gunship raids,
No more road blocks,
No more road maps,
No more bulldozers,
No more settlements,
No more ransacking homes,
For the only terrorist,
Is the one who inflicts terror,
And the worshippers of terror,
Are found on both sides,
Calling for peace negotiations,
instead of real resolution to conflict.

The message was always love,
For that is the only dove,
That waits patiently to land in every nation of this planet,
When you have had enough of inhumanity,
On all sides,
You turn towards san-ity,
That unites in un-ity,
When inner wars are over,
And righteous beliefs open to life,
For life is change,
And peace comes when you find the courage to change,
40 days in the desert teaches …
only the truth sets you free,
To see the other as your self,
For life is the mirror held up to the light,
Reflecting back projections,
And this is the secret that has been forgotten,
In endless peace treaties,
Negotiated settlements,
Political posturing,
Diatribes of hatred,
For one cannot move on,
Until the lie is faced,
For peace can only exist in truth.

It is time to bring the tribes back together,
Forget treaties and find ceremonies,
To take down the walls of your own making,
For if you cannot life will,
For always impenetrable walls fall on time,
The Roman Empire falls,
The Ottoman Empire,
The Babylonian Empire,
The Berlin wall,
And this is the call in these times ahead.

When all call out for peace on all sides,
The walls of Jericho will rumble and crumble,
For the edifice of fear was always the false wall,
To the kingdom of the seven seals,
For faith was always about trust in love over fear,
For god is love,
And love is god,
When you love,
You know,
And god is calling for you to love each other as family,
To find forgiveness out of the darkness of ignorance,
For you had a missed-call,

The prophet said:
“say what is true, although it may be bitter and displeasing to people”

The prophet said:
“I am the way, the truth and the life”,

And love was always the answer,
When you question for truth,
You become a seeker of truth,
And all doors will open,
As truth is the master key,
For god does not exist in the present moment of books or words,
But in your heart where you live to die,
To self,
For that is where the home is,
And you are being led home,
Through the heart of your shared humanity,
And this is the camel that is thread through the eye of a needle,
For we are weaving all peoples together as equal,
Creating a loom of indescribable beauty,
For the tapestry is the magnificent one of unity,
And each and every one is connected by an invisible chord,
For all discord is the illusion,
The chord of harmony is in attunement as a pattern maker,
For we are not single threads,
The fabric of humanity will become thread bare,
For this is an artwork of perfection that shows all,
For the emperor has no clothes in occupy movements,
For to see the good in bad,
And the bad in good,
Introduces the golden thread that enlightens the patterns,
The alchemy of unity is the new concordance,
And this is the harmonic resonance of peacemakers,
Criss-crossing all cultural and religious patterns,
For there is no partition looming in the future,
As we embrace in finality in the 11th hour,
We are leaving duality and all towers are falling,
As reality is changing,
This is the calling,
For good.
