The Alpha and Omega of Reality
I saw this poem today as I was thinking about the Australian Government. I heard the Prime Minister giving a speach about the Asian Century which Australia sees itself economically linked. I am no longer thinking in terms of economic growth for security and wealth, my mind set is changing to truth and self awareness as the real wealth that changes the economy into one that is self sufficient. So I have been reflecting about business-as-usual mindsets and reality. What is reality is a clear question, as many have different versions and experiences of this. I am seeing reality as what is, these days, what is before me now, in my experience. I am learning to not resist it, I am choosing who I am in each moment and for me that is a choice between fear and love. My reality is feeling kinder as I be the change I see. I am feeling at peace.
I see the same stories being spoken, the same dreams for security, for jobs, wealth and economy is the reality of this life. My question here is – is it?
HOLDING HANDS IN TIME
The earthquake of truth,
Throws the unwilling out of the tower,
For in reality we have no power,
We are the river that flows through life,
Seeking the ocean of freedom.
Our lives are moved,
Often it is not what we choose,
Yet change is inevitable,
For our world is changing in every moment,
No-one can hold back the hands of time,
Yet we can bend with fate,
For everything that transpires,
Has a beginning and an ending,
And this is reality.
Love can defy logic,
Logic can defy love,
Yet what were the reasons for our defiance?
A belief in right and wrong,
Erects barriers for a thousand years without question,
For our world is suffering,
Every person is at war,
Carrying the past into the present,
The present into the past,
And imagined futures that don’t exist,
Attracts fear to this list of reasons.
There is much Work to be undone,
For I believed my own myths,
I earnestly sought answers in the dark,
I misread silence as one lip reading,
Seeking clues to unglue as I was stuck,
Grasping at straws,
Clinging to hopes,
Sliding smoke screens that veiled clarity,
As one walking blind,
With only faith as my guide,
I confided in truth,
As I believe it will set me free,
To see the beauty not the beast,
In a world of insincerity.
I am told that reality is truth,
And it is always kind,
That judgment is the mirror image,
And truth is the waters of clear reflection,
When I look to see with clarity,
To unravel the stories that we hold over each other,
To make another wrong,
To change the world in our image,
To justify as right,
Is the way we fight,
When we are at war with reality,
And this is the truth that has come knocking on my door,
I am opening the door to face my truth,
I am welcoming this friend without defence,
I am speaking as family without rejection,
I am innocently righting my wrongs,
And to look at the projector not what is projected,
For that is where I have the power to change my world.
