A Moment of Sanity in the Traffic of Your Mind

As I was driving home tonight I saw the magnificent moon rising up. It was enormous and golden, I drove with my eyes on the road and then on the moon.   Mindfull of not having an accident but marvelling at the power of nature. Also I realised the lunar eclipse happened today. I quickly got home and checked the laptop to find it had happened here in Australia at 5.30-6.30am. I looked at photos and the moon was red. The lunar eclipse is when the earth passes between the sun and the moon, hence the shadow of the earth on the moon. It inspired me to write a poem about its beauty and awe.

How interlinked the moon is to life, growth, abundance and as my friend reminded me last year, to a woman’s cycle. Makes me smile when I remember there were rockets fired into the moon and talk of mining it. Imagine how that would affect womens cycles if the moon was irrevocably damaged or its orbit changed or blown up. Think of the havoc that would create on earth. Think of the tides, growth of plants, emotions, the next generation etc. That is how interconnected we are with the moon, it is not separate from us.

Enjoy my poem dedicated to you and the moon.

A MOMENT OF SANITY IN THE TRAFFIC OF YOUR MIND

The bus-i-ness of life,

Distracts the mind,

Consumed by troubles,

What next?

What to do?

What a to do about nothing?

Have I done everything?

For everything can be un done,

In a moment of sanity.

Driving through traffic,

There is a jam,

As the snake stagnates,

Horns toot,

Tempers flare,

‘I want to get home’ she shouts,

Darkness descends pulling the curtains on her day,

As the full moon displays a new phase,

Like a silent witness,

Changing its face,

To run rings around time,

In flowering gravitational fields,

Yet remember – there is no time,

Like the present.

Our world is a constant rhythm in motion,

This is the emotion of Gaia,

The sun rises to set,

The sun sets to rise,

The clouds float on unseen currents,

Changing formation in a metamorphic surprise,

As animals, faces, angels, shards of light,

Send life beaming around the earth.

Look up and feel the wind gently light up your face,

The grace of gentle fingers caress your true nature,

For a moment you pause in response,

Your body responding without thinking,

Invigorated without blinking,

Feeling the freshness in natures smile,

Reminding you  – you are alive,

Feeling the sunlight as rays of freedom,

A natural dose of vitamin D

Magically strengthening your bones and muscles,

You can see,

Whether you know it or not,

For you are natures bounty,

An offspring of changing seasons,

Into which nature transforms its flow,

Like a river of life entering the sea,

An unending window of sky scapes,

Each moment a unique painting,

An original of master peace,

To let you know,

That life is given,

Then received,

And this is the arrow,

Leading us straight to truth.

Each moment of your life

nature is with you as the seed of inspiration,

Fertilizing health, wealth and happiness,

A rose garden of Eden,

In loving devotion,

Unconditional and free,

For as you take from natures body,

You become the seed that travels,

As she opens the harvest of true love,

For she was the apple on the eve of civilization,

The veritable tree of true knowledge,

Branching all civilizations out of Africa,

For the apple in your eye seeds only true nature,

A gravitational pull finding balance in grace,

Selecting the Ace is the lunar cycle,

Trading winds for tides as wave action,

Is the satisfaction of all lovers of life,

For the moon is full,

The earth is in shadow,

The lunar mirrors the sun,

Earth is the sun dial,

Lunar shadow is the crescent of the sun,

Eclipses the imagination beyond belief,

As cosmic forces are perfect and on time,

Solstices and equinoxes,

Seasoning time,

As the sublime finds the ridiculous.

Shape shifters circling the square,

All 4 points of the compass search for magnetic north,

Poles become spheres within atmos-spheres,

For the life cycle has no beginning or ending,
As life is a never ending story of rebirth,

All transforming into the earth itself,

Family, friends return to the earth,

On time,

For time and space

Do not matter.

The traffic starts to move,

Lights flash,

As the cork is unblocked,

She returns from intoxication to the mundane,

That is human made as the clock towers reminding her to go home,

For a moment she lost her self,

Out in space,

Yet found herself in truth,

As the moon sung to her an infinite melody,

The dance of creation a uni-verse,

Even if only for a split second,

The second coming was the presence of her life’s love,

For her life orbits around her true nature,

Distractions take nature from her life,

The traffic jam was not a delay,

It was a relay,

Passing a sacred message from the stars,

To remind her the race is never

against time,

It is to find ourselves,

in time.
