Human Rights Are Transformative When Free

Human rights would not exist in a harmonious world. Those rights become necessary when a person is disregarded, disrespected, abused or used. Human’s come into life from where few know, yet their spirit is free, even when in chains, you cannot control a person, no matter mind control, they are free. For this is the seed of free dominion (freedom) and sovereignty, that cannot be taken, in truth. Equality is the key that unlocks perspectives to see differently. I love the expression by Voltaire…

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

This is human rights. It is about freedom of speech, which is inalienable.

Here is my poem on human rights.

HUMAN RIGHTS ARE TRANSFORMATIVE WHEN FREE

I feel blind,
For my eyes are open,
Yet closed,
For universes swirl around others,
The galaxy of thoughts,
Swirl from different belief systems,
I bear no grudge,
Yet I am in pain,
For a wound has opened wide,
At this moment it is unbridgeable,
For I cannot cross,
To the peace and harmony,
I so crave.

Force is not a word to me,
It is an assault,
On my being,
I cannot tolerate,
Being defined by others prejudices,
For I must be myself,
And become the person I see
In my dreams.

A life of being bullied,
By the one I love most,
Has shaped the strength of my defence,
For it is penetrable,
But unbending,
For it targets the very essence
Of who I am.

I won’t appease,
I won’t please,
I won’t betray myself,
So that you can feel happy,
That you are right,
For me there is no right and wrong,
Simply perspectives,
Simply points of view,
For only human rights,
Are in my sights,
I have a right to choose,
Between tolerance and self definition,
For all thoughts create.

If I tow the line,
Or say nothing,
Then I have nothing to say,
And this is not me,
I am free to think,
I am free to say,
My truth,
Even under your roof,
I don’t play by your rules,
For I rule myself,
And the real democracy,
Is self rule.

I am open to other opinions,
I am open to other beliefs,
But I draw the line,
When belief becomes ‘should’,
When opinion becomes ‘right’,
When the purpose of your argument,
Is to fight,
Is to expose,
Is to win,
Not to begin,
With true help in mind.

Life is a mirror,
And in truth there is no-one else but Self,
All is reflecting,
All is detecting,
The hurts that lie dormant,
In the seat of the soul,
So each is a part,
Which part do we play?
There is no power and control,
Only roles and responsibility,
For it is a role play,
For human rights,
Become the right to be human,
And this transforms,
The mosaic of life.
