From the Shadow to the Dream that is Real
Carl Jung talked about the shadow which is the part of ourselves that is in denial. It is in the shadow sometimes we can see it sometimes we can’t. It would be called denial.
The world will find itself divide into those who agree with the Sustainability paradigm and those who want to remain in business-as-usual. For those who are choosing a new society, another way, it is not to fight those who do not. It is to simply choose the life you want and live by example. To share your experience with acceptance of difference for we live in a diverse society and everyone has the right to decide.
The new society will not be tolerant it will be accepting of difference, it will not be fearful it will be loving, it will take full responsibility for thoughts, words and actions but not expect others to change, people will express their creativity in ways that are loving, accepting and allowing of life. For we live in a magical and creative world that lives outside of the walls of work and man made rules. It is an exciting life where we never know what is going to happen. We are constantly tested and working it out.
I am choosing to live in unconditional love (takes practice) and honesty as I see it. I am open to all voices and see all as my teachers. Find your happiness and let your light shine, I am sure you are a great gift to the world when you give from the heart.
THE SHADOW OF A DREAM
When a person’s life becomes a shadow,
It is hard to find what is real,
For the shadow is a silhouette,
It is simply the reflection,
Yet everyone knows it is not real.
There comes a point when one must say no,
To dishonesty,
To unreliability,
To selfishness,
To coldness,
For it is not a question of love,
It is a question of integrity,
And those who use their face to convey one thing,
And their silence to convey another,
Play with the hearts of others for personal gratification,
And this is the war game of the solider,
This is the influential script of the politician,
This is the gambler who plays to win,
With no thought of the implications,
Or others he may affect,
For the other is an object not a person with feeling,
For when one is not responsible,
They detach from all involvement,
Allow the other to destroy themselves,
Without a backward glance.
There is always an opportunity to be happy,
There is a chance to be clear,
This is a moment to be shared,
But it can only happen if you cared,
For many will be labelled confused fools,
And pay dearly for honesty and trust,
Feeling they cannot remain in this predicament,
For our lives are not for ourselves alone.
For I will take responsibility and give my best,
I will continue to love unconditionally,
I will continue to take risks,
I will live in poverty until my dream is real,
I will keep on advocating that love, truth and peace
is the clarion call for these dangerous times,
And I will make my voice be heard,
For I am not living in the shadows of false hopes,
I am not cowering in the corner of judgement,
I will shine my light for the world to see,
For the truth is in non-violence
And freedom is you and me.
