Kiss The Rose Of Life

THE ROSE OF LIFE

To receive the gift of flowers,
Is a beautiful surprise,
For as given I bloom,
For my heart is one with the rose,
As my room comes alive with this presence.

As I look closer at this natural beauty,
I see the rose petals crafted,
For they appear perfect and variegated,
Yet the natural rose was never perfect,
It was the hint of a rose,
It was tattered and holy,
For nature shared in its bounty,
Nature shared the scent of its beauty,
For this was not for the senses,
This was the method of communication,
Between life forms,
A budding system,
It was the language of the soul,
Of the rose.

Yet I hold the rose up to savour its sweetness,
And the scent has been stolen,
Engineers only see the form,
Not the deeper spiritual function,
Genetic manipulation plays with god,
But they can never know god,
For god is the scent of love,
That sends its message to all without favour,
Singing in many flavours.

As I open my eyes finally,
I can finally see,
The natural world is receding back,
As if afraid,
For the destruction of man,
Knows no boundaries,
It is forever seeking another project,
To take another liberty,
For freedom is what mankind seeks,
But he will never be free
From greed.

For the ripeness of nature,
Gives freely from the trees and vines,
It is the root,
It shines brightly in the sun,
For it photosynthesizes its nourishment from the mother,
But we are disconnected,
As if cast aside,
For we don’t know the security that nature brings,
We just feel the abundance in supermarket shelves,
These are the branches,
That extend in rows and chains,
To give choice,
As the only democratic right left now,
As the last tree falls,
The wise know we can’t eat money.

We have killed our natural desire,
We are fed on diets that are aesthetically pleasing,
For the taste is sweet,
But the after taste is bitter,
For it takes and never receives,
It consumes and never plants seeds,
For the hole of our own making,
Is growing larger,
The land fills are mountains of waste,
Which mark the depth of disconnection,
For the fissure is opening up,
The earth is shaking,
The earth is quaking,
For it fears we will not survive this shake up.

Yet we move on,
Drinking coffee and working for money,
As if the world is endless,
We have forgotten our truth,
We have forgotten our seed,
We have forgotten there is no need,
For all is illusion,
The magnification of fear.

The seers are sending you messages,
But do you hear?
Who do you listen to?
Who really cares?
In a world of status,
Where power is stolen,
For manufacturing is consent,
And you are reduced to dust,
For life has no more meaning for you,
You know you are not valued,
Yet you give the greatest value,
To a system built on fear,
Of which we stare blindly,
Over the abyss,
Unless you kiss the real rose,
Of your bliss,
For you are the rose that is holy,
Not the thorns of tears,
And love is calling to you,
Clearing the mist of confusion,
For this is the inspiration of the next generation,
Who will find the rose in the valentine,
For now is the time
for inner peace.
