The Real World: Returning Home
THE REAL WORLD
There are so many worlds,
Yet the real world is unseen,
The environmental crisis,
Is etched into the face of endless urban landscapes,
That criss cross but do not meander,
As the scars of industrialization clear away healthy growth,
And the juggernaut of consumerism is rapid and uncompromising,
As denial is not a river in Egypt,
But a mass market that knows no other way
To make life worth living.
I am returning home,
To the heart of truth,
For the real truth is unchanging over time,
It is the river that endlessly flows and brings life,
To the smile alive in your eyes,
That is genuine,
To the love swelling in your heart,
That is endless,
To the beauty of expression,
That is infinite,
For truth is love,
And love is the source of all life,
And when one becomes the source,
Life is the love affair,
That never ends.
I send peace and love to the world,
In every moment,
I bring the clown to life,
To liberate your smile from its sorrow,
For the jester lives truth without compromise,
To live by example is to realise the world is one,
Is the freedom to laugh and have some fun,
To speak only of a world that is real,
That feels without suppression,
That no longer conceals or seeks permission,
For the solutions to life’s dilemmas only becomes visible
when we create the future without blame,
When we face each other without shame,
When we seek out what we want in truth,
As the fountain emerging from the wishing well,
For each penny is for your thoughts,
Yet the pond is for reflection,
And when money becomes the wish not the reward,
And faith becomes the time in between,
The truth will be seen,
In your actions.
