SDG 16: Peace, Justice to Paint the Real Picture of Peace
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). No. 16 is a Turnkey!
A business philosophy of profit maximisation to profit self interest is not able to create peace no matter the soothing narrative. You have to be peace in order to experience it. It is not a temporary state, it is not unlike love, when you are in love you know it. There is no striving. It just is. A reference to the SDG 16: https://sdgcompass.org/sdgs/sdg-16/
Therefore, there are many who see themselves as thought leaders, or business success stories and who believe they can lead us to peace and justice. They see it as necessary for business success. The truth is unless it is in your heart, you cannot know it and often self interest generates the opposite for many. It is the hardest of the Sustainable Development Goals because it is not an intellectual exercise, it comes from within and real peace would require a complete turnaround of the business paradigm.
This video is why we want a world that is not limited by science and technology but expands into our infinite inspired potential of what we can become. It is not a competition, it is about freeing the spirit to express what is self evident. There is a force more powerful than money in this world. It resides in our hearts, in our inspiration, in our heroic impulses to save life, to share and care about others. It is the true beauty that lies within. When we express it we feel this peace arise within us. I have felt it many times. That is how I know peace is real. The life of the artist is not a 9-5 job, it is not about conforming or complying with systems that are in theory. That is the shadow side of life. When we close this down and call it unprofessional or economically unviable or of no statistical value, this is when we create a dark world where life loses its vitality and exuberance. When you shutdown what is beautiful you are left with what is not. It is to stem the flow of the very magic that happens in life when creativity is given full rein. Art is not a technical subject, it is a spiritual journey.
Life is about expanding, expressing, allowing and growing ourselves to our full potential. Love is at the very epicentre. Peace when fully realised naturally balances for justice to be seen. Justice has nothing to do with law, it is natural or universal law where life rebalances the dark and the light of the overall painting or picture. You could envisage this as the yin/yang of life. The feminine/masculine, up/down, love/hate etc. It is always seeking harmony with life itself.
As for strong institutions, we need just institutions that generate the outcome of peace. That is how we know they have strength. Strong is an inaccurate words, strength is holding onto values in the midst of great change. It is remaining true to the public interest, the intent, the virtues that make us human. That is the SDG Goal that changes our world, for good!
This story below explains the real art of freedom, that all artists are seeking to create. It is often a hard road, filled with opposition and challenges as the spirit seeks to rebalance by finding the light within. Art is not technical innovation or design in a commercial sense, it is expanding and exploding myths of what is not real to envisage futures never seen not for personal glory but because inspiration moves you to create. This video below highlights a young girl who is an artist born with the gift. You cannot learn this at art school.
This video came to me suddenly in inspiration. Her name is Arkiane she never won the Noble Peace Prize as it has been politicised to promote those who mimick words of peace but know it not. Jesus was not a Christian, he was a teacher of peace by his own example. He never sought fame or fortune, he saw the wine in the water as the elixer of real joy. He would never have been acknowledged in the current time. This girl brought Jesus to life and she shares the miracle of painting his image.
