Ben Rich or Ben Dover Skunkworks – 60 Minutes to Midnight?

I love the joke Ben Dover, I heard that many years ago and laughed. I like that Ben Rich mentioned humour.  This is a video produced by 60 Minutes USA.  This is an insight into black ops world of the industry-military complex and their psychology. 

I am a peace educator and I always turn back to dealing with our inner violence.  We always look outside for enemies.  As Eckhart Tolle states the war on anything is doomed to failure.  I agree.

I noted he states a million dollars spent developing paint to paint US on a specific metal on the plane.  How many peace education projects?  I just sigh.

They show footage of destroying targets in Baghdad, I recall an Iraqi doctor showing us footage in Canberra showing how civilians were deliberately targeted killed.  What happens when military are used to access countries for their oil in this case.  Scott Ritter the Former Senior Weapons Inspector in Iraq said at a talk in Melbourne that the war was an illegal war of aggression.  So perhaps defence is the wrong word these days when 90% of casualties are civilian.  Can we not find a better way to create peace and stability or is this really just the fascination of men who feel insecure when unarmed. It was Scott Ritter who saw the courage in pacifists as they stood for what they believed without weapons.  I believe disarming is the greater courage.  I send love of course to all soldiers and those in the military, they will believe a different story, but this is the nature of democracy whilst it is still here.  To listen to different voices and consider alternatives. This militarised reality will disappear as we learn to make peace within and outside of ourselves. When we move from destruction to reconstruction of our paradigm on real security.
