A Message to Humanity

I found this poem I wrote in 2006.  I felt to post it if I haven’t already. I know in my heart that until we remember real love we cannot change a thing. It is indeed the solution, even to climate change. I just had a feeling about the words climate change, the shift from global warming as a recognition that the planet is changing, earth changes. (add in) I realised it was to deflect warming from the energy industry, that is another insight.

We are deeply interconnected with the planet, what is our climate? what is the planet’s? Do you think they operate on islands of separation or interconnected? You could expand this to the cosmic reality as well as we are part of something far greater than we can imagine. That is my feeling.

Only you can change your world through a decision to love under all conditions. I know it is not easy but it is The Way. It means you have to drop all judgement, fear, division, cruelty and return to the core of truth that naturally unifies with all, as family. That is what it will mean. There are no enemies, always remember everyone does their best given their vision of the world. Can we learn to allow that?

MESSAGE TO HUMANITY

Spring before winter,

Autumn before summer,

The leaves fall like a silent ash,

Clouds form where deserts used to be,

Open skies speak of arable lands,

For we have not come to understand,

Our weather pattern.

You are in the crowd I see walk passed,

For you are not present,

You are avoiding truth,

For truth, compassion, forbearance speaks silently to you,

But you are not listening,

Playing games is of interest,

But will not satisfy the common wealth,

Yet the main game is a sideshow alley.

I watch the children holding hands,

I see them smile and say hello,

For they live in a world of innocence,

A world that sees things as they are,

That speaks up and asks questions,

For passion is open and visible,

Not hidden like shame,

Covering the real face.

It is not up to the politicians,

It is not up to so called leaders,

It is not up to others,

It is up to you,

To take the ball across the line,

To finish this race,

For to win is the alchemy of gold,

Come out of the shadows,

Its time to be bold.

The world is waiting for your answer,

But this is met with a stonewall,

For fear paralyses,

Love opens up,

And you are not open to love.

Our resources are exhausted,

The wild life is domestic,

Variety has become homogeneity,

Freedom has lost its spontaneity,

For rigid walls,

Rigid beliefs,

Have closed the prison door,

For depression is the prison,

And you are the guard,

That let’s no-one in.

The temper of our time is lost,

The patience of the sublime

Is golden,

For zero tolerance,

Tolerates nothing,

Conservatism creates rules to divide,

Holds onto wealth like a possessive lover,

Controls the minds of the population,

1984 was a revelation,

There is no revolution,

When we remain still.

So I say unto you,

Go forth and reunite the family,

Many voices become a choir,

For the time to perform is now,

There is no more rehearsal time,

For the water is turning into wine,

Droughts are barren and lifeless,

For it is the river of wisdom,

That must find the right course,

To flow back to the sea,

For the ocean of our future

Is rising with expectation,

Or evaporating with our dreams.

Many visionaries have said,

Love is the answer,

This is translated into all languages,

But it is not a word,

It is an action,

For it is who you are,

It does not wait for the right moment,

Each moment is right to choose,

Is ripe for we must not lose,

The present.

Mohandas Gandhi

“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.”
