Dream Your Dreams No Matter What You Look Like

This is the inspirational video about Susan Boyle. She came out on the stage and looked like an unattractive middled aged housewife. It was interesting watching the faces of the male judges, particularly when she wiggled her hips. Like she had no right to sexuality as they deemed her unattractive and you could see the repulse. She had a personality, spirit and courage and when she aired this you could see the judgement on the faces in the crowd. She dared to want greatness as a professional singer. It showed how unattractive people are not valued. I was amazed by this and I see it in every day life. I often look at unattractive people and in my way send them love. I have also noticed when I’ve judged but I am more conscious now and really look at me not them. These days I talk to every person I meet as an equal and with respect. I adore people. However, I know their lives are much harder, and those talented, often don’t get the breaks as they are overlooked in search of the stereotype. This would be definitely the case in the music business where the singer has to be attractive to look at. I would state particularly females. There is such an emphasis on how women look and it does come from males and marketing. Yet what Susan Boyle shows is the inner beauty, the beauty of talent and the determination of claiming her place on the stage of life.

Susan Boyle reminds us to stop judging and allow people to shine. It was great to see everyone appreciate her amazing talent and standing up to give her a standing ovation. I noticed the female judge did this, the two men sat down. The female judge also made it clear to the audience that had they been against Susan when she mentioned she would like to be as successful of Elaine Page (famous singer). She said this is a wake up call. I found her insight refreshingly honest.

Susan Boyle reminds people that all people are worthy of love and respect and this should not be earned through talent. She shined a mirror on society and perhaps we feel uncomfortable in ourselves at the cruelty we see in ourselves.

For those of you who feel you are no good, give it a go, always try. Don’t worry about the sceptics, the critics or the naysayers they are merely reflecting their own dark issues, just focus on what you want and go for it. It is your life and it is worth it. Always believe in yourself. You are meant to be here and you are equal to every other person. Looks are irrelevant, disability is irrelevant, you are relevant, go for it.

Dream big dreams, let them shine hope to every corner of the globe.
