True Peace Is…

You cannot fight for peace, you can only be it.  Peace in our world is in the hands of our children.

TRUE PEACE IS…

This is just a note,

I wrote as I felt to say,

That the May Day

Has gone out,

To millions.

A decade of climate change,

Is the tip of the iceberg,

For the tides have changed,

The wind has shifted

As el nino is the el paso

Of the wild west.

The peace we seek,

Is not framed in a peace treaty,

It is not a negotiation,

It is not a dialogue,

For one only finds peace

In the eye of the storm.

I have met many

Espousing world peace,

Many protest for peace,

Fight for peace,

Seek peace through religious guidance,

Yet it is in the heart free of tension,

It is in the heart that no longer judges the other,

That turns the spotlight within,

For dis-ease manifests in an uneasy peace,

Where the truth is not spoken,

No-one is open,

For they hide behind masks of certitude,

Yet none are certain,

Until the curtain is closed.

True peace is my friend,

Lasting peace is acceptance,

Real peace is forgiveness,

For only in values can inner strength be determined,

For one becomes determined

By what they value,

For rights are inalienable,

Indestructible,

Unbreakable,

When you live them as truth.

I am facing life head on,

I can say it is not easy,

To be open and true,

To be confused and  insitu,

But I am guided by a dream,

That sees children in the scene,

Their voices loud and clear,

Their passion expressed without fear,

For the future is in their hands,

And we must make them strong,

For the seasons are without reason,

The ice is a cesspool,

The drought leaves the earth baron,

And the baron must become a democrat

For the world to turn,

Around.
