A Vision of Life

A Vision of Life

One can cast awareness,
Across the greatest visionaries of time,
They have spoken of humility,
And many read this as having nothing,
Saying nothing,
Expecting nothing,
Seeing oneself as nothing.

Humility is the greatest love,
The outer vision turns inwards,
For one is in love with the vision,
Of delivering the greatest gift to the other,
For their greatest good.

The life of a visionary is aloneness in life,
For it is this inner torch that is held high,
For no one can lead you to the holy grail,
You must walk the path alone,
Many will throw stones on the path,
And you must find your way past obstacles,
Suffering pain and discomfort,
For few see your intentions are pure,
Shimmering in the pool of acceptance,
Many project the theatre of the mind,
Assuming agenda’s or ulterior motives,
Where there is nothing,
But reflections.

The jewel in the crown of humanity,
Is the ability to feel and extend love,
For this precious treasure is the flavour,
Is the heightened rainbow of colour,
For which all seek to wear,
Yet the outer garment is a mere reflection,
Of the inner worth.

For the greatest riches can be seen in the kindness in your eyes,
And I would stare endlessly into the depth of your ocean,
To remember myself floating gently to see,
To mirror myself in your vast horizon,
To remind myself,
Of the importance of why
I have come home.
