Who Am I?

WHO AM I

Who am I?
I was the voice who said don’t hurt them,

Who am I?
I was the one who said why can’t we work out the problem,

Who am I?
I was the one who couldn’t understand why we are fighting,

Who am I?
I am the one who says don’t condemn find out the truth,

Who am I?
I am the one who says please speak with respect,

Who am I?
I am the one who asks you to take responsibility for what you do, as I must take responsibility for what I do,

Who am I?
I am the one who says let’s live together in harmony,

Who am I?
I am the one saying let’s share what we have,

Who am I?
I am your friend even when you are not mine,

Who am I?
I am the one who wants you to have my job,

Who am I?
I am the one crying for you do not hear me,

Who am I?
I am the one choosing not to be a slave by defining my own destiny,

Who am I?
I am my own person I want to think for myself,

Who am I?
I am the one who smiles at you on the street because I know you,

Who am I?
I am the one who stops in the middle of the blind insanity and asks why?

Who am I?
I am the one who believes that love is the answer to all our dilemmas,

Who am I?
I am the one who is alone for who will take my hand and walk with me in peace,

Who am I?
I am the one creating a new world for if not me then who?

Who am I?
I am freedom, love, compassion and joy,

Who am I?
I am not who you think I am and neither are you,
For if we knew who we are,
The world would be at peace,
For love is who we are not what you do,
In this moment,
And always,
May you choose peace now,
For your decision will change the world.
