The Raod to Illitracy ha ah

I have to laugh. Every time I read my blog I find errors. They sometimes leave me in paroxysm of laughter. Oh well, I am perfecting imperfection. I find I type so quick I don’t notice or I can’t spell. My friend suggested I look at the screen and sheepishly I told her ‘I do’. I love it.

It is funny I am analysing this, oh I just can’t help myself. I used to mirror write when I was a child, everything backwards, does that make me intelligent??? Apparently when the writing is put in front of a mirror it is the right way (or is it???). Interestingly, the eye actually sees the world upside down then transforms it to the right way up. So which is right and which is wrong hmmm. Hold your computer in front of the mirror whilst standing on your head and then tell me you see reality. It is all upside down. Ha ha

I just had a look at phonetic spelling. There was something circulating last year where a piece of writing was written phonetically and you can actually understand it easily. The mind just fills in the gaps.

Here are some interesting mistakes – good:

No!! smorking
Perparing Your Child for College: It is not too soon.
Dalai Lama Honered today
Nevada is environmentally senstive
“Buisness”
The town “Rothschield” is actually spelled Rothschild
“Schofeild” is actually supposed to be Schofield.

Another example…
I knew somebody will write something about what I am saying for quite a while period…
English will slowly but confidently evolve into a language English speakers will not understand.

Let’s butcher the language yeahhh….

Why can’t we say “throo,” “koo,” “doo,” “troo,” “nyoo,” and “kyoo” and “poo”? Why can’t we say “naw,” “neel,” “nemonik” and “note”?

It looks funny? Sure it does, because you’ve memorized the “correct” way–but millions are helped on the road to illiteracy because the “correct” way makes no sense.

The plural of “man” is “men.” Why not “mans”? Because it’s childish?

Exactly! To say “mans” is the first impulse of children when they learn plurals–the sensible impulse. But if “men” makes sense, why don’t you ask for “two cen of soup”? Why do you ask for “cans”?

My point here is it is good to laugh at yourself, the only proviso is if I make a typo and it changes the essence of my meaning. I laughed in my recent blog where I said ‘I have never been happy’. I laughed as I meant ‘I have never been happier’. So it may be worth reading back in a couple of days to see if I have edited, I usually do. I also add in stuff as I get inspired.
