Release the White Dove

THE WHITE DOVE

Are you listening,
Are you listening with your heart,
Are you seeing with your heart,
Are you speaking with your heart,
Is your life a circle?
Where the ending is the start.

A world of translation,
Of interpretation,
Of passion,
Of elation,
Another fashion.

But the meaning we seek,
Is hiding as if shy,
Is crying as if broken,
It is shining…
…In the sky of our thoughts,
…In the ocean of our feelings,
It is washing over us,
But we can only feel weak,
Because of the feeling we cannot speak.

It is elusive,
As if on the tip of our tongue,
It is of a colour,
Which has no palette,
It is woven loosely as chaos,
But when you look deeper and deeper,
It reveals its mystery,
Opens its wings as a dove,
Weaving its golden light,
In the carpet of love.

Do you know that your life is a gallery?
And your words are the paintings,
Colouring the image of love.

You have chosen the visitors to your gallery,
You can exhibit your paintings to many guests,
But only a few will love your gallery and see you at your best,
Only a few will buy your works and take the colours home.

But this few will be like seeds,
Scattered on the wind,
Your paintings will fill many a blank wall,
Your paintings will serve a distant call,
They will warm many homes,
Cosy by the fires of love,
No longer alone,
Release the white dove.
