Road Map to Freedom of Speech

Power over others is sought by those powerless, power within yourself is where true power resides. We have the power to choose. In the future there will be no war, conflict resolution will be the road map to freedom of speech.

I regard all who have caused me the most pain as my greatest teachers. I am not here to change them, I am here to change me. This is what is meant by the Philosophers Stone. Wisdom changes your shape, you turn hard edges into soft curves. Or the hard and rigid stances become softer as understanding replaces judgement. Understanding is the beginning of wisdom. That is why we are shape changers.

Do you learn from life or hold resentments? Are you in the shape of peace or war? In peace you see the other as yourself. For we have experienced the negative and positive, and when we seek truth, we see in moments we have felt the same. This is the place of joining, of unity where freedom of speech is no longer feared but embraced. The sum of the parts indeed exceed the whole. We are greater for having known each other.

ROAD MAP TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Life is choice,
Life is perspective,
Life is an intricate filter of experiences,
For to experience is to paint colours,
For each life is a gallery of moments,
Within each moment one chooses to see
The wood for the trees,
Yet you will surely see both,
When seeking the shared path.

What are your interests?
Why are you in that position?
Are you interested in the mission?
Or is it mission impossible?
Perhaps you are posturing for effect?
For many are just doing their jobs,
They are not seeking the message beneath the mirror image,
For to be surreal is to be real,
The surreal delivers the underlying message,
For when you look you see,
When you see to look,
That you are freed to look again.

Mediation brings in the third party,
For a party of three,
Is a Boston tea party where no one is left out,
For these interests are principled,
It is a new conversation of equals,
It is a sacred ceremony,
Where each speaks in turn,
For to turn as you speak,
Is active listening,
To listen is to be active in peace,
For the greatest peace is found
In silence.

To facilitate is the conductor of the orchestra,
In the beginning there is dischord,
For each is playing their own song,
Yet to come to the auditorium,
Means a choice to hear a range of sounds,
For as we listen the sound is amplified,
When one observes the play they become absorbed in unique sounds,
For each voice is a unique expression,
Each story is a myriad of perspectives,
Sometimes a hall of mirrors,
For the context changes as does en-lighten-ment,
For what is seen is experienced like a cuisine,
Of new tastes.

We must be prepared to sit at many tables,
We must be prepared to try new ways,
For the world is not a model that conforms to your frame,
It is to re-frame the picture for common sense,
For what is in common is shared,
For the global commons are not ordinary shares,
It takes much patience and time to respect orientations and boundaries,
Even if faced with the mask of greed,
Especially if dealing with the veneer of hate,
For anger is expressed as heat,
Yet the heat hides behind hurt that burns deeply,
For the greatest act of compassion,
Is to not leave the room but to stand in the circle,
To allow another to be truly heard in truth,
For when one can hear one sees with the heart,
And the other feels they exist,
For there is no greater peace prize,
Then to be pre-sent,
Without a personal agenda only to do-good,
For do-gooder sends the message of peace,
As a shared concern that can be halved.

So go forth and listen with loving kindness,
Speak with compassionate feeling,
Allow uniqueness with great patience,
For the world is traveling at a faster pace,
It has no time for dialogue only contracts,
Yet someone must lead the way home for humanity,
To gently point out there is no interest in insanity,
To seek agreement on a new road map,
For the goal posts are changing,
As we must be the change we wish to see.

As the world cries out in anger,
The mediator provides the mirror to help one see One self,
For all are family,
The underlying issues are similar,
For we have the option to solve any problem,
When seeking for a win/win,
For this is to cry freedom,
The win/lose shrinks the pie of global resources,
As the world discovers that this is a shared space,
An ecosystem intricately woven,
That must be respected when we live simply,
So all can simply live
in peace.
