Krishnamurti: Moving from First Principles

To travel the world is to know it,
To trace the contour,
To map the conflict,
To feel the landscape,
To facilitate thinking to greater heights,
Probing for strategic probabilities,
Is the philosophy of the intellectual,
Who integrates knowledge with awareness and action.

Krishnamurti is one of the messengers,
For when one is still,
One is thoughtful yet thoughtless,
For wisdom is often a juxtaposition,
It is the heart of the riddle,
It plays with the intellect,
Yet when the student is ready,
The answer appears.
from first principles.

The universal friend-ship is open to all,
It is the pearl that forms from gentle currents in a sea of possibilities,
For to be a true friend forms around innocent action,
To be a kind friend forms around thoughtfulness with no agenda,
In subtle acts that assist another,
It is in the smile that is genuine,
For there is no fear nor favour,
There is no preference or bias,
For all are potential friends when one looks at the mosaic,
For the group is the diamond with many faces,
Each of value,
Each contributing,
Each contrasting peace and conflict,
And this is the microcosm of the macrocosm,
For we are same same but different.

So my friend,
This is both my gift and my tribute to you,
For your heart is genuine,
Your commitment is total,
Your art is in diplomacy,
Cooperation is in flexibility,
Culture is in deference,
For one must stay below yet lead,
And this is the art of the peace maker living in the peace center.
