Love is?

I felt moved to write tonight and it turns out my topic was love. I cried tonight as I was touched by a prominant Australian who I discovered was inspired by love. The tears just came to me, as if I found love for the first time in a desert of understanding. For sometimes I feel as if an island, yet in truth I am the sea.

So this is for Valentine’s Day (14th February). With it I send love to the world, as always, knowing all are the source of what they seek.

LOVE IS?

What is love?

The word love is whispered,
It is declared,
It is fought for,
It is defended,
Yearned for,
But seldom is it known,
As truth.

For many love is held tight,
It is a shield against loneliness,
It is to feel secure in belonging,
It is to hear that one is loved above all others,
To be or not to be is special,
Acceptable,
Respectable,
Indestructible,
Capable,
Indivisible,
For many love is the missing link.

Yet can love be held? What if the other wants to go?
Is it a shield? What if the other falls in love with another?
Is it something you say or who you are?
Is it filling a gap or is it a presence?
Is it missing, can it be found?
Yet its essence is never a pretence,
And to love for life is never a life sentence,
It completes the memorable sentence of a life fully lived.

Love arises like the sunshine from the central sun
of inner self,
It is the spiral of growth,
Returning to a zero point,
It is summation of the alpha and the omega,
It is the inward and outward movement,
An infinite song of atonement,
A love story that begins and ends on time,
As ying and yang cycle polarities,
The circle of love cycles unity,
It is the pinpoint of light in the circle,
The earth revolving around the light of the sun,
Eclipsing the moon,
Appearing to disappear in darkness yet remaining present,
For it is always darkest before you dawn.

Love is known,
There is no need for a question,
That is why it is the answer,
For my tears are the windmills
that power the heart of true meaning,
And my heart is the window that does not need cleaning,
Opening my eyes to the beauty beyond the square,
As I can only see it
everywhere.

I am in love with life,
My heart is smiling through my eyes,
Always happiness whets my lips,
As I move my hips in a rhythm of life,
That glides and dances,
For life is my lover that gives endlessly,
For in my freedom love owns me,
It is the symbol of the dove that coos to me,
Sending me peace as the music of my soul,
For I fly above illusion and roles,
I cry in recognition as love unfolds its secret,
I sigh in feelings that have no words or script,
As I carry the little olive branch to you,
For it will take you home to the olive groves,
A magic wand where loaves and fishes are given,
And received in gratitude,
Returning to the mystical abundance of one,
As love surrenders all needs without asking,
Yet even when you ask you are answered,
For love is the answer,
I give to you tonight,
To wish you well on your flight,
Home.

Remember to smile before another does,
Remember to err on the side of compassion in the face of anger,
Continue to give the olive branch even when it is snapped in contempt,
For I am not here to tell you how to walk your path,
I simply decide the path that is true for me,
and start walking …

Mine is the side path in the deep forest,
Mine is to walk amongst the ancient trees and song birds,
The leaves swirl and curl as my feet shuffles and ruffles,
I hear them rustle in a chorus of waves,
Oscilating on winds of change.

As I lay still
love descends as the white feather,
I realise it is the feather of truth,
A drop of water slides gently down my cheek,
For I turned to offer what was left,
I give all I can for my love is peace.

There can be no peace keepers,
No peace makers,
For you cannot keep it or make it,
There are only dream keepers,
That awaken to know,
Love is …
You are …
I am …
Infinite.
