It is stated in the article that there are an estimated 100 billion galaxies. We are in the Milky Way Galaxy. Certainly the numbers give you a certainty that they do.

Bruno Mobrici: Father Balducci father, then, between us, would this answer how many support this versus how many are still opposed (question following the existence of aliens statement)?

Father Balducci: These things give us a great deal to think about. Is it true, it is false, is it … it is true, it is not true, is this believable or should we say this is incredible — no! By now, at this point, there are several considerations made with CERTAINTY THAT these BEINGS DO EXIST. IT CANNOT BE DOUBTED.

It can also be said that even if there are 99 things about this phenomenon that are false, within the entire totality there can be one true statement — and Gabriel Funes Like all conspiracy theories, it is always close to impossible to find the truth, but today knowledge and technology are able to flow more freely and without a doubt we begin to see more evidence that perhaps the Vatican knows more about Alien life and UFOs than they are telling us.

Below is an email sent out by the Vatican and their attempt to convey the importance of making sure people know that aliens do not disprove the existence of God but rather reinforces the magnificence and all knowing power of one supreme God who is capable of creating such a master piece.

The 45-year-old Argentinean priest heads the Vatican Observatory, founded by Pope Leo XIII with offices at Castelgandolfo, near the Apostolic summer palace, and another in Tucson, Arizona. Fr. Funes has been in charge of the Observatory since August 2006.

VATICAN CITY — There could be alien life forms and believing they exist isn’t contradictory to having faith in God, the top astronomer at the Vatican said in an interview published Tuesday. In the Vatican newspaper piece, titled “The Extraterrestrial Is My Brother,” the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes said the expansiveness of the universe means there could be life on planets other than Earth.

“In my opinion this possibility exists,” Funes, the director of the Vatican Observatory, told L’Osservatore Romano. “Astronomers believe the universe is made up of 100 billion galaxies, each of which consists of 100 billion stars. … Life forms could exist in theory even without oxygen or hydrogen.”

Funes said that there might even be other intelligent life out there, but believing in its existence doesn’t pose a problem for those of the Catholic faith.

“It is possible. So far we have no proof. But certainly in a universe so big we can not exclude this hypothesis,” he told the paper.

“As there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, so there may be other beings, intelligent, created by God. This does not conflict with our faith, because we cannot put limits on the creative freedom of God.”

In an astounding announcement made by the Vatican, Father Funes says “That life on Mars could not be ruled out and God could have created intelligent beings in outer space. Father Gabriel Funes is the Vatican’s chief astronomer and wrote an article in the official Vatican newspaper called, “Aliens Are My Brother.” Father Funes exclaimed that the search for extraterrestrial life does not contradict belief in God. When asked about the condemnation of the Italian astronomer and physicist, Galileo, by the Catholic
Church some four centuries ago, Father Funes claimed mistakes were made, but stressed that it is time to turn the page and look towards the future.

it is that, certainly, it’s true that this phenomena does exist for sure. Therefore, this is the first problem: there will be those who doubt, perhaps, but the most prudent people will not deny it entirely. What led to this decision to announce the “possibility” of alien existence by the Vatican? At the time many were researching the existence of past life on Mars and it seemed most probable that the conclusive evidence would suggest that life once existed on Mars. Did this prompt the Vatican church to announce these findings as a preemptive strike against science, or does the Vatican know more than it is telling?
