My Mothers Wish to All Mothers Today

I’ve just read this poem today on Mother’s Day to my mother and she has asked me to publish it for all mothers again, she said all mothers should read it. So I am going to publish it again. She said this through blowing her nose and laughing. That’s my mum. Have a great day mum.

My mother has continued speaking to me as she is on the phone with me now. I’ve just told her that I am publishing this as her message. So she wants to speak to you now. So I will just type for her.

“I am seeing the world and it is real and I can see Jesus over the world and he has his arms out and he is reaching out to people with love. This really happened to me, Jesus showed me the world, he was above it. (I asked – how did it change your life). She said – It sent me back to realising there is a creator, a creator who loves everyone. His hands are outstretched, saying come home.”

She just said to me that is all we will say, there is a lot of unhappy people out there and they don’t know where to turn.

A MOTHERHOOD STATEMENT

My mother,
My friend,
My soul sister,
To the end.

Always believing,
In me,
Always receiving,
To give to me,
Always grateful for my presence,
There is no-one I know,
Who understands my essence,
Like you.

I have had some deep trials,
I have ventured out,
Spurned on by my burning vision,
Into the unknown,
Into the danger zone,
For there is no security where I seek,
Peace and non-violence,
The only words I speak,
For I am a pied piper,
Playing a tune alone,
And unfunded,
For sometimes it seems like a mission,
Impossible.

But always I have a home,
Always I can reach out,
Always I can cry out,
For she is waiting on my welcome,
She is setting a place at the table,
I sit at the right hand side,
She is praying for the plight,
Of my salvation.

Yet I was saved,
For I was born,
And she is my mother,
And there is no greater saviour,
Then the one who loves unconditionally,
The one who sacrifices unquestioningly,
Always thinking of her children,
Putting their needs first,
Providing water when they thirst,
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I needed shelter and you took me in,
I was cold and you clothed me,
For we are one,
Under god’s son.

The one who rocks the cradle
rules the world,
For the head of the household,
Is the heart that serves all,
For the household is the home of god,
And this is a holy place of family,
For only those graced to touch the philosophers stone,
Keep the family together,
Protecting the young from harm,
Teaching them manners to instill calm,
Rocking them to sleep in warm arms,
For she is the economic planner,
Thinking ahead of time,
Ensuring all is done in time,
Her work is a full time job,
These are the true managers of the world,
These are the real leaders of the future,
For they take full responsibility,
And the family is the core unit of stability,
Without stability there is no family,
Without family,
One is alone.

So thank you for your part in creation,
In keeping my life afloat in the ocean,
Sending the life boat to save me,
For I have no-where to go,
For I am going alone,
And life is a challenging sea,
That storms then settles on the breeze,
Yet I am floating on the boat of life,
That is buoyant and free,
For the sails capture my direction,
And I must drift offshore to new adventures,
My life is resurrection,
As I find protection,
In the warm arms of your love.

You are the greatest gift,
The richest treasure,
The sweetest smile,
And I will make the most of the moments left,
For I know you were heaven sent.

“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.”
