Is God the Perfection of Ignorance?
I wrote the title without thinking ‘Is God the Perfection of Innocence?’ I see ignorance is innocence. So can we blame anyone who is ignorant? Peace goes both ways I feel.
God is the Perfection of Ignorance
What would a conversation with God be like?
Would it be a thunderous lightning clap?
Male words rumbling from above?
Or a conversation you would have with a neighbour?
A friend?
An intellectual?
Infinite potential?
Would it give a little nudge,?
Or the sweetness of tasty fudge?
Would it be a channelled message in meditation?
A surprise friend?
Would you only know at the end?
For how can such a concept be singular?
How could such a moment be personal?
For is God expansive and unlimited?
Romantic?
Procreative?
Would it be a he or a she?
Or neither?
Is it wind, water, earth and fire?
Is it molecular or stellar?
A black hole or a mountain top?
The luminous soul?
Is it the end goal?
Whatever the truth,
Maybe God is aloof,
Watching the scene silently,
Aware but not involved,
Separate yet unified,
Female yet male,
The alpha and the omega,
The up and the down,
The cold and the hot,
Nothing yet everything,
King Arthur and Camelot,
A round peg In a square hole,
Circling the square?
Squaring the circle?
Perhaps God is the contradiction,
The exception to the rule,
The golden rule,
The interruption,
The singularity,
A zero point.
.
What is the point of knowing?
When we are growing?
When we are not in a position to be a universal perspective,
We are a point of consciousness barely aware,
We are crawling as we haven’t truly walked or cared,
We talk but we know nothing of telepathy,
So primitive yet we believe we are advanced,
Unique yet ordinary is the dance,
For I know I don’t know,
And for me this is the beginning of truth,
If God is truth,
I am beginning to know God,
As this is beyond my comprehension,
There is nothing I can defend,
Perhaps this is the place of peace,
The peace that passeth all understanding,
For I cannot force anyone to believe me,
Or join my ritual,
Follow my lead,
Perhaps this is how I see the perfection,
In ignorance,
The harmlessness in uncertainty,
For when I think I am right,
I divide from those who are wrong,
From brothers and sisters who sing another song,
For how can this be the light in
en-light-en-ment,
Perhaps this is why ignorance is bliss,
As I kiss the blarney stone and see the joke,
In life itself.
