Love is Endless Freedom
LOVE IS ENDLESS FREEDOM
I see love come and go,
I stay below,
I know,
To not determine the path
Of another.
As I yearn I learn,
That I have no control,
That I have no role,
I can only be,
Who I am.
For all need grieves … Loss,
Yet there is no loss or gain,
When one is sustained … by love.
For love is who we are,
It is the star that shines brightest in your sky,
A beacon from other worlds,
Reminding you that there is life
beyond space and time,
For life is the finest wine,
It intoxicates perfume,
It percolates aroma,
It fascinates in awe,
As all budding artists aspire,
For how can inspiration expire,
In the presence of true love.
Can I say ‘I love you’?
Without attachment or greed?
Can is say it in between words?
Can I hear it beyond the silence?
Can I whisper it hidden on the wind?
Can I reveal it in a subtle glance?
This sparkling essence of life’s romance,
Shimmering on the edge of an eyelash in time,
That feels forever blind,
As I remember the sublime was never ridiculous.
I must surrender to the love of my life,
I must allow what is wild to free fall,
To take my spirit up onto thermals,
To para glide in the clouds,
Where I can play and sing,
Free as a bird on a wing,
As life showers me in cherry blossoms as winter melts into spring,
I suddenly hear the phone ring,
And I know it is not you,
For how can we speak of what is unspeakable beauty.
As above so below Is to know I do not know,
For I am unlearning all I am taught,
Letting go of all I have sought,
For love is not a doing it is being in endless light,
My rose blooms in your sight,
My heart is the kite forever free,
To love you endlessly,
Transcends the beauty of all artists,
The pallet overflows as colours splash,
As memory traces the outline of your smile,
Etching your face onto the marble of my mind,
For how do I blur the lines or shade to grey
When only contrasts refine the golden ray
of peace
