Awakening from the Dream of Ignorance
I couldn’t sleep.
Awakening from the Dream of Ignorance
My heart aches for truth,
Some may call it a roof,
As it gives me shelter from the cold
Of ignorance,
As the snow drifts,
The ice melts,
The snowflake is no longer symmetrical,
For even icicles know not truth,
As nature cries at breaching tipping points,
Feedback loops over-reaching seasons,
It is high treason,
For the greatest betrayal,
Is the betrayal of self.
My truth aches for love,
Some may call a foundation,
For it supports my life when all else fails,
It lifts the veil on ignorance,
To reveal that only love is real,
When we save the sacred seal,
When polar bears swim without sinking,
As the ice shelf is restored in homeostasis,
And CO2 returns to normal background rates,
And humans learn that love and truth return real rates,
With interest,
For common interest is the reality of one,
For when we work against,
In opposition to,
Undermine efforts of,
We slowly suicide,
For what we do to another we do to ourself,
As we lose all sensation,
We commit genocide on the next generation,
As the children are recycled
in the next extinction cycle,
Unable to find the gulf stream
which goes with the oscilating flow,
As above so below
the ego.
Thus to change the current of the past
is to grow and know,
To thine own self be true is the cue,
Revealing the wisdom of the dream,
From which all awaken,
When they have the time,
To become still and silent,
For this is the moment of truth,
Discovering the truth lives in the moment,
As the silent spring,
Of a renewable life.
