Selfishness or Self Awareness Determines Your Reality

This is for all those who are unable to see the ‘other’, who are focussed on themselves without any awareness of the whole. Yet when they focus on the whole, much good arises from conflict. When it becomes a battle to win, all parties lose. I send this out to noisy neighbours, people in battles where they only see their needs not the other, for at the end of the day we create societies that are unhappy and distrustful of neighbours. This is not what was meant by ‘love your neighbour as yourself’, this was about self awareness. The neighbour is yourself when you are aware of the whole.

SELFISHNESS OR SELF AWARENESS

Selfishness serves the one,
For the self is the centre of the universe,
Self awareness serves the whole,
For this is the universe.

These are the mantras of duality,
One destroys the world,
The other discovers infinite worlds.

The conflict of interests,
That are intractable are self serving,
Why are they self serving?
Every-one has separate agenda’s,
Aims and objectives,
To win names the game,
To lose is failure,
They are unable to hear the other side,
As they seek only their interests,
They may go silent,
Or they may shout the other down,
Either way both lose ground.

The conflicts of interests,
That are healing,
Seek to hear all sides,
Why do they seek to be fair?
They understand each is unique and diverse,
They hear the verse of the song,
that all must sing together for harmony,
For this is the whole,
That lives to give together,
That yearns to learn about life,
Building foundations of inquiry
On the bedrock of justice,
Not for justice to be seen to be done,
But as a statement of who we are,
Fairness is non negotiable,
A fair trade that is always free.

Industrialisation serves each one,
Ecological sustainability serves all,
One feeds the self,
The other feeds self awareness,
That leaves no-one hungry,
For our connection with nature is the whole,
It does not operate in self interest,
It is an awareness that is best interest,
As nature selects for a new world order,
As a silent spring,
Awakening all to a new dawn,
Of peace,
That honours all,
As all are honourable.
