The Winds of Change for the Children of Tomorrow

I’ve been reading the unauthorised biography of Julian Assange. It has been a very interesting read. The sense I have is the importance of disclosure in our world. I also perceive governments and in particular, militaries are required to be answerable for their actions. Why? we pay for them. It also made me consider more about individuals being set up by those they upset when they rattle cages and becoming a threat or enemy, that appears to set off a chain of reactions whereby people are hurt, some not physically, but their reputation is damaged or they are framed in some way. You wonder at the extent of set-ups of those who have spoken out. There appears an established acceptance of media in respect of public interest and stories but when a website is set up to leak information that is deemed in the public interest, that appears to be another category.

I found the book so far to be well written and it seems there are always two sides to every story. I think it takes a lot of courage to stand up. Yet I feel in the times we are in with the economic situation collapsing, wars continuing unabated and the environment changing, there needs to be change in how we all see the world and behave in it.

I sense the winds of change are here and it is a permanent change. My inner feeling is that more disclosure will happen and I sense we are in exciting times as the old order starts to list and crumble like a sinking ship or I would venture, a titanic. Yet the iceberg is not solid but melting, the enemy is not physical it reflects in the mirror of truth that denies what it sees. The idea of the emperor with no clothes comes to mind. If people keep parroting what they believe others want to hear, then after a while we can’t see the pink elephant in the room, the reality of where we really are. I see clearly that anything built on violence, disinformation and deception that has been accepted for a long time, as denial. I was only discussing today with my friend that it is interesting how murder is seen as fine when it is ordained by government yet the public are jailed, I’ve always found this interesting to consider. The marketing of the military has to be one of the most brilliant marketing campaigns I have witnessed, and I am trained in marketing. Yet what happens when wars are illegal or illegitimate or governments sanction illegal behaviour in order to silence people, what then? What do the people do? I sense the responsibility rests with ‘we the people’ and eventually people will have to choose the world they want. I sense that nature is forcing our hand as we are out of balance with our true nature, which was always loving. The natural system is in homeostasis, it naturally balances, no part is more important than another, it’s survival depends on its adaptability, functionality and sustainability. I see that as love in action as it flows and unifies, love is indeed both the answer and the question. Anything that divides or breaks down leads to instability and is not chosen for natural selection.

For me, we have to return to our true nature, that is to be the change we wish to (positively) see in the world. We must decide what real value means and where we invest money and energy. Do we do it out of self interest or do we re-member we are in a world community and start to work for shared interests? To reflect on where the money flows, does it fund peace or war is the bottom line. Perhaps this is more than the triple bottom line, for I see moving lines and broken lines, waves and slots, indeed a quantum theory or soup that we live in. What we focus on we create is the vibration.

Perhaps the decision is to put our money where our mouth is – what do we believe in? My heart moves me to think of the children of tomorrow, my decisions moment to moment define their world as we set up a way of being that has ramifications for generations, it is like a wave, a ripple that keeps on as the world is not finite, it is one connected system. The wave I send out is peace, love and truth, for that is not idealistic or singular, it is the foundation of the future and it forms the basis of a world that more than survives, indeed it thrives. I know the magic of the moment, and it is now. Imagine if there was no past or future, yet what we do today manifests that future. I wonder what we will choose collectively? I have made my choice. I feel an inner flame guiding my decisions. I have come to understand in the darkness the flame of hope arises with virtues and values fluttering, they are the true power of humanity.

Here is an interesting song I just saw today which I felt intuitively depicts the times we are in.

This is very interesting I heard the words Gorky Park in the music clip… this is what it means according to wikipedia.

Gorky Park (novel)
From Wikipedia

Gorky Park is a 1981 crime novel written by Martin Cruz Smith set in the Soviet Union.[1][2]

Gorky Park is the first book in a series which also includes Polar Star and Red Square which are set during the Soviet era. Four more books with the character Arkady Renko, which all take place after the fall of the Soviet Union, have been published. These are Havana Bay, set in communist Cuba; Wolves Eat Dogs, which follows Renko in the disaster of Chernobyl; Stalin’s Ghost in which Arkady returns to a Russia led by Vladimir Putin, and Three Stations.[3]

Plot

The story follows Arkady Renko, a chief investigator for the Militsiya, who is assigned to a case involving three corpses found in Gorky Park, an amusement park in Moscow, who have had their faces and fingertips cut off by the murderer to prevent identification.

Despite being born into the nomenklatura himself, Renko exposes corruption and dishonesty on the part of influential and well-protected members of the elite, regardless of the consequences. A short episode of the book takes place in the United States, but when exposed to western capitalist society, he finds it to be equally corrupt and returns to the Soviet Union. (While he may have found corruption in the West, in Red Square, it is stated that he returned to the Soviet Union in order to protect his love interest, Irina, from also being forced to return.)
Pathoheterodoxy Syndrome

Pathoheterodoxy Syndrome is a fictional mental illness. It is the idea of a misguided arrogance. The syndrome was said to be contracted by Chief Investigator Renko, who was thus described by a KGB agent:

“You have unreal expectations… You overestimate your personal powers. You feel isolated from society. You swing from excitement to sadness. You mistrust the people who most want to help you. You resent authority even when you represent it. You think you are the exception to every rule. You underestimate the collective intelligence. What is right is wrong and what is wrong is right.”
Ideas and influences

The fact that Renko is described as having this syndrome may be one of the factors to believe he is a Byronic hero. Smith satirically created the concept of “Pathoheterodoxy”, to show the way that the Soviet Union would have characterised Soviet dissidents and their failure to obey and conform.

While the syndrome itself is fictional, the incident also alludes to the very real Soviet practice of labelling dissidents as mentally ill, and of forcibly treating them with psychotropic drugs. Renko’s love interest, Irina, was likewise revealed to have been institutionalized for similarly false “psychiatric problems” and forcibly treated at some earlier time, resulting in a tumor that left her with a severe facial blemish and blind in one eye.

Fascinating.
