Tick Box or Similar Compliance Online

When I tick a box online where it says I accept the Terms and Conditions.  I have done this in the past because I had no ‘opt out’.  I actually didn’t consent to the Terms and Conditions which I did not understand.  I felt forced to tick as I wanted to use the service.

So this is really to state I never agree with tick box as a consent or any other method if it doesn’t give me an opt out.  If it gives me an opt out then that is fair enough.

As a market analyst we always made sure when people were asked a question there was a category for don’t know, not applicable or ‘no’.  This is freedom to express what is wanted or not.
