Can You Love Those Who Persecute Others?

I felt inspired to write this today.  It came pretty quickly.  As I was writing I felt the global war on terrorism.  I can see many masks, puppeteers and those orchestrating hatred.  How do we create a new octave of frequency that re-weaves balance and harmony?  For I see violence on many levels in wars, communities, families, friends and within the self.  The violence masks fear, it is a call for help as people attack what they fear.  How to de-escalate fear and clear the windows to see the clear face of the other as a reflection of ourselves.  When we see clearly there is no enemy.

I send this to those engaged in any form of violent conflict, the ripples of prior conflicts feeding into current mindsets and a message to all that only love heals.  This is not a idealistic statement, it is a foundational truth of peace.  Mothers would traditionally soothe their children when in pain, this de-escalates pain and fear, as they grow into adults they believe they do not need to be held and nurtured, in truth they all do as all are suffering.  Happy people do not hurt others, it is those in misery, ignorance and pain that hurt others, as their pain is turned outwards.  How do we reach out to those in pain?  When we see ourselves in each other, then truth is starting to arise, when this happens we know what we did when we felt this way, when we share this we join.  Every person on this planet has hated someone, every person has bullied or controlled, every person has thought violence or acted on it.  So when we sit with truth, we can see ourselves.  So like us, when we reach out in understanding and not condemnation there is no target.  We are all disarmed by love, in truth. You can only destroy an enemy, what if no enemy turns up?

I love every person in essence and I know many do not know what they do, indeed they do not know they do not know (unconscious).  However, the times we are moving through we are starting to know we do not know.  This is the beginning of wisdom.  You may want to contemplate that.

LOVE CALLS YOU HOME

Today is Good Friday,

I am contemplating what is it good for?

Jeshua Ben Joseph is really a metaphor

for those crucified on the cross of their own truth,

For those who choose to stand and speak  up

are cut down,

For one cannot be holier than thou,

One cannot be seen to be too good,

Skeletons in other closets rattle,

Sabre rattling warns off threats preparing a war footing,

Yet the real war is within,

And that is the darkest place where few dare to tread,

For awaiting them is the dark night of the soul,

Responsibility is lying at the bottom of the draw,

Hidden, covered over and ignored,

For to bring this up into the light of day,

Would mean one would have to say,

Sorry.

Jeshua did not only overcome death,

He shone the light of unconditional love on those who persecuted him,

For he saw forgiveness not hatred,

He felt understanding not condemnation,

For ‘they know not what they do’ witnesses ignorance,

Unquestioned thinking looks for the evil other,

Yet the darkness lies within us blaming the other,

Denying our part in negative states of play,

Refusing to see the humanity in the other as the media spins,

For the spider catches the fly on the web of deception,

And the web we must unravel is the lattice of global persecution,

For it wears many masks concealing identity,

The puppeteers sit in the background profiting from confusion,

Those confused seek prophets,

Yet the true teacher is within you awaiting love to arise and flower,

True courage is to look and stay with the pain and fear as a lover never leaves,

For the stained glass colours the blue sky red with tears as realisation dawns,

And to see clearly one must close their eyes to deceit,

For this is a feat not for the faint hearted,

To stand alone and speak up for truth without persecution is the road less travelled,

To look within for answers discovers love,

An answer humanity is reaching for,

For there is no enemy only love,

Calling you home

to universal truth.

Mohandas Gandhi

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
