What is Your September 11?

Today is September 11, people in the States will remember the twin towers. I am aware there was a counter strike on Afghanistan, equivalent numbers passed on. I am publishing my book in the next few weeks probably by 21 September (International Day of Peace). My book is called Awaken the Fool. I met Helen Caldicott (anti-nuclear activist, author and advocate for sanity). We met just before I started Peace Studies in 2002, she was instrumental in encouraging me not to go for the money but pursue my heart and study peace. She told me of her and Patch walking naked in New York protesting the Naked Truth about nuclear. She was a paediatrician who decided to take responsibility for what she saw as the insanity of war. She met with me (a nobody) but she made me read her books Missile Envy and If you Love this Planet. I had to read about the industrial military complex. In my book I speak of our meeting and the information she shared. I mention Fahrenheit 911 the film by Michael Moore and the planes carrying Saudis just after 911. This is well documented.

Here is an excerpt from Michael’s website:

He said: ‘after the airspace reopened, six chartered flights with 142 passengers, mostly Saudi Arabian nationals, departed from the United States between September 14 and 24. One flight, the so-called Bin Ladin flight, departed the United States on September 20 with 26 passengers, most of them relatives of Usama Bin Ladin.’

On Moore’s website it is stated:

‘Sen. Byron Dorgan: We had some airplanes authorized at the highest levels of our government to fly to pick up Osama Bin Laden’s family members and others from Saudi Arabia and transport them out of this country.

Narration: It turns out that the White House approved planes to pick up the bin Laden’s and numerous other Saudis. At least six private jets and nearly two dozen commercial planes carried the Saudis and the bin Laden’s out of the U.S. after September 13th…’

The key question is why?

When I interviewed briefly John Dean who was the former attorney defending Nixon about his book Worse than Watergate the Secret Presidency of George W. Bush, he revealed the importance of openness. This is vulnerability for many people, but until we all become visible, honest and take responsibility, the world will not change. In truth the world is a reflection of us. Something to contemplate. Self reflection and critical thinking are key to solving problems. This is where wisdom and truth arise.

I send love to all those who suffered through this event on both sides. May the power of love overcome the love of power.

I send love to those in power, those corrupt and those in denial.  The truth sets us all free to live happily in peace.

I think Michael Moore was a fool that awakened.

What is your September 11, are you prepared to face denial, power issues and your own blind spot, when you do your world changes.

Have a great day.
