How to Solve the Climate Crisis

We live in a world that has spent hundreds of years in varying states of fear and control.  We have invented system of economics to originally distribute goods and services efficiently, however humans experienced the greed of wanting more and the sense of status that arose with more things.  It is linked to the egoic consciousness of separation from nature, where we step outside of nature (mentally) and exploit it as if it is just objects.  We do this to each other as well.  In this state of disconnection the intellect and the emotions are separate, one state of mind dominating the other and labelled as strength and rationality.  Yet in truth when one disconnects from emotions one loses the most powerful part of the brain, emotional intelligence.  It is no mistake that females have a developed sense of emotions given they are the caregivers of the children.  In order for our species to survive it has to be emotionally connected to each other and the planet.

It is not hard to see that all indigenous cultures see the planet as mother.  They saw no separation between the earth and their own bodies.  They build mythologies and rituals to tap into this mystical connection, in fact I would assert they were more advanced than this current civilisation.  I remember visiting the Inca ruins in Machu Picchu and learning that they saw all people as equal.  People were not left to their own devices as our civilisation does, they were cared about.  The Egyptians prided heart based intelligence.  The Mayans were sophisticated.  I remember visiting a Mayan pyramid in Mexico called Chechen Itza and then in Guatamala, a very quick visit to Tikal, I felt the power of this site and was brought to my knees in Chechen Itza, I wept actually with joy.  Do not ask me why? I just felt something amazing in the energy there.  I’ve travelled the world and know we have definitely through technology and excessive materialism disconnected from our true selves, this is why the emptiness is so profound and the need for things and distractions to fill gaps is so intense.

We are in fact nature, we forget this as we built cities that were not nature but pre-fabricated boxes.  We disconnected from the land, we don’t know how to survive.  We think survival is earning an income yet nature provided abundance for every human.  It is amazing to me how our psychology has been deeply conditioned by fear and not enough, so we fear that if we lose our jobs, we lose our lifestyles we fear starvation, homelessness and death.

I know when I experimented with homelessness, albeit I had a tent.  It was exciting to let life show me where I was going to stay.  I stayed on couches, camped, house sat and have slept in my car.  All adventures.  Nothing destitute in it.  I even went without money for a while to see if I would be supported, people contacted me to do children’s parties (as a clown).  I marvelled at how life was not something you need to make happen but in fact it is dynamic and intelligent and works for your highest good. I found always something came.  I stayed positive and curious and I was never having to face my fears in reality, just overcome them.

The environmental situation is such a test for the whole of humanity. What I find fascinating is to watch business continue on as business-as-usual.  Richard Branson is trying to challenge this old paradigm reminding people that they created the problem and they have to take responsibility for the solution.  This is what power looks like, it is not about money or influence, it is about responsibility for all of it.  I also call this love.  When we see habitats retreating, ice melting, animals dying out, coral reefs destroyed by the crown of thorns (due to pollution), extraction of natural resources, oil and so on.  We keep the machine pumping as people work out of narrow mindsets that only see a pay packet but do not feel interconnected to all of it, we feel we have to survive and stepping out of that groove means we are vulnerable.  Of course vulnerability is a powerful space as you start to feel insecurity is an inside job, not outside.  We have sought to find it outside ourselves.  When I travelled the world to 20 countries I tested my insecurity and put myself in situations where I had to face my fear of the unknown.  Thankfully I am a positive person and I had nothing but help offered by strangers.  This is common in my life.  I don’t fear people and expect the best.  Of course for those who don’t know the law of attraction (had two people randomly tell me about it today) it is the power of our thoughts it works on the reality that we create our reality through what we focus on.  Now you can focus on the worst or the best, life will attract to you (electromagnetically) what you are thinking about.  So I have come to see that when I live in a positive mind I draw  postive things to me, even if something doesn’t work I always come back to the good in it.  I see life nowadays as always supportive of my life.   The same applies to the environment, as we work on our inner world of negativity transforming it to the positive, as we clean up our toxic thoughts interestingly a magical thing happens, our outer world becomes peaceful.  When you come from a base of peace and love (sounding hippy here cause I am) you feel your vibe or some call vibration lift, harmony with nature requires us to live in a positive vibration.  So instead of thinking about lack and fear of not enough we start to look at what is working and we build on that.  Suddenly I open to ideas and solutions and guess what, they come.  Fear will create division, love will create unity.  These are not flimsy statements, it truly works that way.  Love, as Gandhi knew, is the most powerful force in the universe.  On our planet it seems like a romantic notion many have no real understanding of what it really means.  In truth it is the glue that holds our world together, it is the mother who saves her child by putting her life at risk.  It is the humility that stands back and lets someone else get the glory, yet remain in a state of joy.  Love is nonviolence and it is oneness with all life.  It is very powerful.  I feel the love within my own life all the time.  I often joke that when I walk behind couples, I am more in love then them.  I can live alone but not feel alone.  I have my own work in this lifetime around peace and never do I feel bored or out of sorts.  I found my purpose and no amount of money could give me more pleasure then knowing why I am here.

This may seem far away from the original topic of solving the climate crisis.  Much of the answer depends on whether you think you are separate from climate or part of the very nature driving climate.  In my worldview, I am one with the climate.  As I deepen the love I feel I naturally do not seek to accumulate more things.  I do not feel an urgency to compete or have more.  I am happy living in a converted garage with what I have, which I think is too much.  I know that fear keeps patents on technology that could clean up the environment, I think of Tesla here and his free energy devices, did you know he invented microwave at the turn of the 20th century.  He knew how to tap into the ionosphere and beam it down to houses, cars etc.  This technology was conveyed to JP Morgan the famous US industrialist who was horrified that he couldn’t meter (charge money) for this technology, it meant free electricity for everyone.  Imagine if his greed hadn’t been evident and he went with this technology.  We wouldn’t have dependency on oil, the Middle East wouldn’t be in turmoil as vested interests wouldn’t be fighting over control of oil.  Imagine all the lives that could have been saved from wars over energy.  Just because a man felt fear of giving for free something natural and his belief that money was security and power.  Yet he would have had greater power in the love and adoration all the people would have bestowed on him for actioning this technology.  Apparently Telsa ended up in 10th floor apartment I think in New York where he was depressed and ruminating over this situation.  He worked by passion, he had no desire for the money.  Yet we have created a mentality where money is everything.  Yet in truth it is nothing.  Living your passion is not calculable in money.

I think we are moving into an era where we are going to live very differently.  Moreover, we are going to think and feel differently.  We are going to see that what we do to nature we do to ourselves and that we are indeed each others keepers, that is to look out for others.  In fact what it means is you are me and I am you.  If you live in a oneness unity consciousness, you start to see life as a flow not a job description, you no longer see randomness in meeting people you see things happening because they are meant to.  I never forget the debate I had with Edward de Bono the lateral thinking business leader (invented lateral thinking).  Anyway I believe our discussion went something like there are 10 doors and a goat behind one of the doors.  He said what is the probability of getting the goat behind the door?  now most would say 1:10 in probability theory, correct mathematically but I found myself saying 50:50, he didn’t agree.  I said you either get the door with the goat or you don’t.  What I would say today is 0,1 meaning on/off, happens or not.  Law of attraction doesn’t work on probability it states what you focus on you draw to you, it manifests.  Now if that is true then we start to focus on a healthy environment, we see ourselves breathing fresh air, eating organic food, watching clean pristine rivers run past, we see the oceans glimmering as we have found more enlightened ways to produce goods in ways that are clean.  I see people as happier and not needing so much, as each realises it is not about competiting but cooperating for the good of all rather than self interest.  We come together as enlightened communities in positive ways where we no longer oppose but we focus on what we want continually without doubt, we see it feel it and know it is coming.  That is how the law of attraction works.

Check it out and change your world.  Get yourself into harmony with the natural order, we mostly create unconsciously but imagine when we focus consciously.  There is nothing we cannot achieve.  So to solve this crisis is to see no crisis (that will challenge people) and see solutions emerging in ways that are startling.  The universe doesn’t respond to the reality in front of you, it is all energy and as you focus on what you want with enthusiasm (energy) it literally draws it to you (rearranges), interesting thought hey.  So the challange is to move out of critical thinking, defeatest thinking and into positive thoughts that keep seeing what is coming in better ways, start small and work up to climate. The positive thinking revolution in business was not just wishful thinking, the pundits of this work realised it actually works. You can change your reality. Imagine when you are having a problem and someone says to you they had the same situation and they did this to change it, you start to feel better because what is causing your pain is the feeling of powerlessness, hopelessness, stuckness and uncertainty, as you get clear about the possibilities and believe they can work, guess what happens, life changes!! Why not fake it until you make it!!

Can’t do any harm to try.  You may blow your own mind when it comes.  I’ve had plenty of moments when I’ve done it and it worked.  So I quietly work on world peace with the intention that it is here and I am expanding it with great love. I constantly work inside myself reprograming my thoughts to see life in a positive vibration, full of forgiveness and learning to accept what is and follow the inspiration which leads me to create peace education, clowning, peace on radio, traveling the world to speak about it and so on, so much happened when I dedicated my life to this. If I am down I work on peace, so it is all my work, it is a win/win. I feel it in myself and I see the ripples going out there, even through this blog and I am continually amazed how much peace I can create through my positive thoughts, I notice in my world there is no violence, there is no jealously, there is no competition and I hate no-one.  I find I love everyone and overtime I am learning to completely  accept differences without desiring people to be like me, I find that I no longer desire to fight or force my viewpoint as I see they are playing their part in this role play called life, i don’t know their soul purpose so how can I dictate to anyone. Perhaps that negative person becomes the teacher to another who suffers and decides to change, who knows that person becomes the greatest teacher to humanity as they broke through their limitations, realising they are not a victim. So even the most difficult persons are teaching us to decide who we are and what we want, so if that produces peace then it must be something that works for the greater good (even subconsciously).

As I no longer resist life I feel the peace inside and I start to laugh more as I see the game of this life.  I can relax and know I am playing my part. I so love being a clown.

Much love to you.

Make peace with the natural world and the climate will change.
