The Conflict Triangle of Our Greatest Dilemma

When we choose equality our world will change.  Equal doesn’t mean the same it means equal opportunity.  When all flows from equality, sharing becomes primary, fairness becomes who we are and working together is a given.

THE CONFLICT TRIANGLE OF OUR GREATEST DILEMMA

Sometimes I sit back and watch the passing parade,

It is the rhythm of routine rather than a celebration,

An expose of lifeless faces clouded by a stream of thoughts,

Punctuated by shoulds’ and ought to’s rather than free thinking desires,

Suffused by impossibilities rather than
effused by possibilities,

For most believe the sky is the limit,

Yet what if there was NO LIMIT to the sky?

What if WE frame the picture?

Write the plot?

Trace the outline?

Colour in the content?

Define life from a blank canvas?

What then of responsibility?

Or the opportunity to respond?

Who are we when we go blank?

I am looking at life between the lines,

I am seeking an alternative perspective,

Looking for zero point,

First principles,

From whence we first came,

To understand the origin,

For that defines the trajectory of the destination,

As desire and intention visualise what is wanted,

Allowance and surrender minimise interference,

As non resistance let’s go and allows life

to unfold the golden thread,

Some call creation.

It is time to start a new story,

To start again,

As our story is filled with backtracks, roundabouts, crossroads and dead ends,

For we have lost the plot

We have erased the colour to make it black and white,

Where there are no shades of grey,

As right is might,

And wrong is excluded,

Democracy exits a vacuum of our own making,

But what fills the vacuum when freedom of speech is sedition?

When questioning is disloyalty?

When unquestioned thinking is fact?

Building myths and fiction on talk-back,

For these are the sandcastles blowing in the wind

that have no solid foundation,

As values were always inner navigation,

Yet we appear in a Bermuda Triangle,

Out of control,

Blurred communication,

For it is not equalateral,

Nor radical,

As values are cast aside in favour of self interested outcomes,

Unbeknownst – the means creates the ends,

By what ends do we mean?

An equality that is lateral?

Or

Unequal tax havens in Bermuda?

For the answer frames the conflict triangle of our greatest dilemma.

Mohandas Gandhi

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
