Nature Signals the Hour of Great Change
Nature Signals the Hour of Great Change
I am up in the mountains,
I see a grey haze covering the city skyscrapers,
An island of mercantilist aspirations,
Logos as beacons of success,
Associative brand images,
Brand identities,
To market and manipulate demand,
To erect the tallest towers,
For bigger is better,
When the ego drives the consciousness,
Of our times.
The city is like the hub of a great wheel,
The engine of growth,
That never stops turning,
That never stops earning,
For infinite growth is the mantra,
Yields are the stock that exchanges
the futures as options,
I watch with fascination the billboards caption,
A capstone on a pyramid schema selling the earth,
As all roads lead to Rome,
Radiating in and out in relentless mainstreams,
Like the breath of survival,
Depends on the centre,
Not the periphery.
The energy grid is the matrix,
Lighting up the global map,
Of alternating currents,
That has no regard for an alternating gulfstream,
For coal burning is a cheap energy dream,
Rather than zero point energy to set us free.
It is the smoke stack not the quantum field,
The smoke screen not the authentic scene,
That stacks the chips against survival of the majority,
As the atmosphere heats up regardless of wants and needs,
Causing floods, fires, famine and bad seeds,
To fuel our greed keeps the wheels turning,
Al Gore questions:
“The gold bar or the entire planet?”
For this is the real Question Time!
As denial remains the creed of collective silence,
That faces the wall refusing the call to truth,
As the psychological barriers uphold the castle roof,
Erecting a false ceiling,
Ensuring the moat is remote,
Ignoring the healing of a fallen human world,
That opposes this veritable garden of Eden.
This is a zero sum game,
For you cannot stonewall tsunamis,
You cannot barricade wild storms,
You cannot pretend the snow in the desert is a freak event,
When the fires of truth are fuelled by dead wood,
Nature has no argument,
It need not petition human power,
It is simply signalling the hour,
Of great change.
