Are You Open To Learning?
BELIEVE IN DREAMS
Poetry and philosophy are the gateways,
To roads unchartered,
The inquiring mind soars high above the rhetoric,
Circling the questions,
Seeking enlightenment,
To simply see what is true.
The quagmire of learning,
Takes the aspiring mind into a vortex of questions,
Acceptance and rejection,
Forms the platform for selection,
From which we fly or choose to stay on the ground,
A springboard to greater sounds.
There is no better,
There is no worse,
There is nothing important,
There is no thing to curse,
For all is as it should be,
For the highest learning,
Sits quietly in the shadows of the mind,
It tickles our fancy,
It whispers in your ear,
The innermost yearning,
Calls to you as desire,
The innermost learning,
Lights your fire,
And as the flames of interest dance and flare,
All your worries disappear without a care.
For imagined barriers,
Are simply passions repressed,
Fear flips the coin and appears as stress,
But from what do you recoil?
From what do you retract?
For there is nothing to fear,
Only what mirrors back.
Such is the wisdom of each moment,
An insight highlighting my way,
As I kick the cobblestones away,
As I try to find space,
For grace,
To see without illusion,
To speak without confusion,
To teach without elevation,
To allow passion its natural expression,
Without shame,
Without blame,
A simple sharing that we are the same.
Life is somewhat suggestive,
Life is the bouquet that spreads its colour,
Its scent and fragrance,
Uplifts wellbeing and lures the heart,
We move to the rhythm,
As if asleep,
We dance together,
Familiarity greets you at the door,
To be sure secures the world,
But what do you do when real love knocks?
Your security is rocked,
For the waters are deep,
You enjoy your sleep.
But what if you awaken from a dream?
And your dreams come true,
Beyond the life you knew,
Will you stay open?
Or are you closed down?
Do you inquire to see?
Or do you go to ground?
Do you breathe the life essence?
Or do you drown in disillusionment?
When you realize what was lost,
The cost to happiness,
You can no longer rekindle,
For the embers fade into the unbelievable.
Learning is opening,
It is not a one way flow,
There is always more than we know,
It is called consciousness,
Alpha and beta states of openness.
So why bother to know?
Because it is when you grow,
That an inner joy rekindles,
The ember that faded away,
Returns you to yourself,
And as the colour returns to your cheeks,
Success peaks,
Doors open,
For it is really you,
You seek.
